| 1992 | 1 | | Dream Theater Images and Words
This is one of the toughest years to "rank" sicne there's just so many amazing albums to pick from. In the end I opted to choose this album as my number one. Every song here is just the best at what it does, everyone is sure to find at least one song here that's just perfect for them. It's somewhat of a crowd pleaser I guess, but each one of the songs here is just so good, you can't say this album isn't a masterpiece. | 2 | | Black Sabbath Dehumanizer
For me, the Dio line-ups will always be the ultimate Black Sabbath. And while their first run in the 80's was probably the most remembered and successful, I always thought this album is just as good as their previous albums, if not better in some regards. It's a more mature album, with a more unique style. It's heavy and grim and even aggressive, but at the same time, it's melodic and tender and sooo full of emotions. A fanatastic album and one of the greatest reunions of all time. | 3 | | Pantera Vulgar Display of Power
I'm too busy and lazy right now to write about all the other albums, but trust me, they're amazing. | 4 | | Iron Maiden Fear of the Dark | 5 | | Megadeth Countdown to Extinction | 6 | | Blind Guardian Somewhere Far Beyond
Fast, melodic, aggressive and epic, all at the same time - this is Blind Guardian at their best. This record is a classic for a reason. | 7 | | Marty Friedman Scenes
Very good stuff. This is not the most exciting or shredding album, but it has tons of feel and emotion pouring out of everywhere. | 8 | | Rage Against The Machine Rage Against The Machine
Took me some time, but I'm really starting to like it. Very good album. | 9 | | Joe Satriani The Extremist
Really awesome stuff all around in this record. Satriani proves he has both the ability to convey a vast array of emotions through his music, and also the technical mastery to bring it to life in a beautiful way. Phenomenal. | |
