luci 12.12.18	I think 2017's top-end was a little stronger (more best of the decade contenders for me) while 2018 overflowed with releases I really liked.
TwigTW 12.12.18	Nice list, I enjoyed a lot of these this year... Julia Holter, I'm still not completely sure what to think about that one.
Tchitcherine 12.12.18	Nice list! I love Vril so much, it's my favorite Techno producer. I visit every gig he has in or around my city and it's always a blast. Also I wish I could listen to this Traumprinz (Dj Healer) album..

luci 12.12.18	Thx twig and anatelier, can't fault anyone for not digging Aviary. It's a (glorious) mess. Vril is a master of his field, napped the Anima Mundi LP and it's exquisite. I can shoutbox a DL for DJ Healer if you'd like.

luci 12.12.18	I know it's controversial but the first official release is April 2018, only access prior to that was the rip of the video stream. Most of the record felt like I was hearing it for the first time, the drastically altered experience makes me want to rank it among the current year.

luci 12.12.18	@con: i anticipate a 3.5 (but not lower), it's a meeting point between dance-pop and ambient house and I don't think you're drawn to either sound much. @doof: i should have rec'd you the ilyas ahmed, quite a moving collection of dream-folk. check that first
luci 12.12.18	I'm on the second spin of bearcubs atm. between a 3.5 and 4, the aesthetic is lovely but gets a bit tiring over 12 tracks. blake is better :p
DoofDoof 12.12.18	It blends too much at first but honestly the songs and addictive elements suddenly pop up with familiarity. Last two tracks are superb. I find it less showboaty vocally than Blake which helps it immensely for me but Blake is more distinctive I see that. The sonic details take star billing on the Bearcubs, not the vocals

Chortles 12.12.18	love it!! surprised and happy to see unbalance make it on here. the varg record has endured for me as well, such a unique aura to get lost in. also surprised to see dj healer top heat i think my sentiments for this year are the opposite from yours though, but that might be more down to a shift in listening habits. i covered a lot less this year, but i spent much more time with a handful that really dug under my skin than years past
