Anyway, Slipknot is a band that I’ve come to enjoy quite a bit, but haven’t really taken the time to delve into their discography as a whole. Vol. 3 is my personal favorite, and AHIG is alright, but pales in comparison to their other stuff

DarkSideOfLucca 02.03.19	When you first heard Devil In I when you were 11??? Shit. I first heard them in 1999 when their debut dropped, then saw them in 2000 ahaha They're not the most amazing band on the planet, but I still jam them a whole bunch .

SymbolicInTime 02.03.19	My dad shoved them down my throat as I was growing up so I’ve been jamming them since I can remember. Can’t say I listen to them much these days, but They’re pretty decent overall. They don’t have anything above a 3.5 but they’re still usually fun
Minushuman24 02.03.19	Honestly, they're dumb and lame and stupid. But I can't deny that they can be pretty fun to listen to while hanging out with friends. Kind of a throwback. Their first three discs have worthwhile stuff, after that it's pretty barren.

These days, I don't really listen to them often, but they were my favourite band for a long time. I'd really have to be in the mood nowadays

BAT 02.03.19	Yeah i had the experience of listenin to korn and deftones in the mid 90s (youngest of 4 bros), thaan slipknot just came out and killed errything. First 3 albums ruled by the time all hope is gone came out i was already getting into meshuggah annnd just didnt care for it. .5 was okkaaay but i wouldnt keep it in my rotation, i saw them 2 years ago and they kicked ass, their new drummer overplayed purity tho. Iowas prolly the heaviest numetal album tho.

gschwen 02.05.19	Their self titled record was the heaviest thing in radio rock at the time. It’s one of those things where the band eventually became a parody of itself and released some bad music while other bands finessed the genre. Later the genre just sort of ate itself in a wave of awful copycat acts. But s/t still has a place as being one of the better numetal records from that era.

J() Alexander 02.05.19	It sounds more like a parody but it isn't one, really, it just sounds more ridiculous and parodies are usually ridiculous, but I wouldn't say it is a parody, it just kinda sounds like one. Even when I listened to that band the first two albums sounded kind of funny.

Masochist 02.05.19	I didn't listen to S/T or Iowa that much, but Vol. 3 was great. Even better after that type of music died down in popularity, I grew up, and I was able to enjoy it on its own merits. That's when I realized I actually enjoyed it a lot.

I've had people who's taste in music I respect urge me to check out their earlier stuff, but I personally just don't get it
Scheumke 03.13.19	Didn't really care for their music, still don't. Live though, its a whole different matter. I've seen them live about 5 times now and every single one was insane madness. If they would play in my hometown then big chance I'd actually buy tickets to it. The energy of the crowd at a Slipknot concert is something else. Some kind of feral rage gets loosed there and the atmosphere is so ripe with adrenaline you can drink it. Fcking insane shit.
