02.03.19 | dude, how old are you?? gotta be no more than 15, that’s pretty cool. Anyway, Slipknot is a band that I’ve come to enjoy quite a bit, but haven’t really taken the time to delve into their discography as a whole. Vol. 3 is my personal favorite, and AHIG is alright, but pales in comparison to their other stuff |
sonictheplumber
02.03.19 | worst band ever |
DDDeftoneDDD
02.03.19 | 2 awesome albuns. Rest is kinda shitty. They Kickass live though |

02.03.19 | He's 16, he said that before. Anyway, my thoughts on Slipknot are that LOCAL BANDS (SUCK THESE NUTS) U.S. BANDS (SUCK THESE NUTS) WORLDWIDE BANDS (SUCK THESE NUTS) ALL YOU BANDS CAN SUCK THESE FUCKING NUTS they suck. |

02.03.19 | another one of those bands where the music was neat but the lyrics were absolutely terrible and suffered from it |
DarkSideOfLucca
02.03.19 | When you first heard Devil In I when you were 11???
Shit. I first heard them in 1999 when their debut dropped, then saw them in 2000 ahaha
They're not the most amazing band on the planet, but I still jam them a whole bunch . |
J() Alexander
02.03.19 | I just realized The Devil In I was released about 5 years ago... The fuck, I thought it was released like 2 or 3 years ago, damn. |
wham49
02.03.19 | Not a whole lot, saw the in the early 2000’s and although visually it was a cool show, their music gets old really quick, for 10 minutes they are fine any longer and I’m out |
TheMightyScoop
02.03.19 | Slipknot are the Wiggles of metal |
StrikeOfTheBeast
02.03.19 | I didn't like them much as a kid. I like them a little bit more these days, but I only really like Vol. 3 which I have as a 3.5ish. |
SymbolicInTime
02.03.19 | My dad shoved them down my throat as I was growing up so I’ve been jamming them since I can remember. Can’t say I listen to them much these days, but They’re pretty decent overall. They don’t have anything above a 3.5 but they’re still usually fun |
Minushuman24
02.03.19 | Honestly, they're dumb and lame and stupid. But I can't deny that they can be pretty fun to listen to while hanging out with friends. Kind of a throwback. Their first three discs have worthwhile stuff, after that it's pretty barren. |
DoofDoof
02.03.19 | novelty band in it for the cash |

02.03.19 | Doof knows.
Bunch of fakers, even dildo masks heart wasn’t in it when clown face started bleating on about renewing contracts in order to appease gas mask bloke. |
Ecnalzen
02.03.19 | Never thought much of them. Did get into Stone Sour for a bit in high school cause of Bother, but that didn't last long, tho. |
Fowo
02.03.19 | honestly, don't like them at all, I find them boring af |
mrdogthrow
02.03.19 | First 2 albums were pretty damn exceptional but I couldn't care for anything past that |
Dissonant
02.03.19 | yeah guilty pleasure for me. their stuff is mostly just immature angst, but I still enjoy it. Iowa rules tbh |
anarchistfish
02.03.19 | AHIG was like the album that cemented me as a fan of music and metal. When I first heard Left Behind I thought it was the heaviest shit I could possibly imagine. These days, I don't really listen to them often, but they were my favourite band for a long time. I'd really have to be in the mood nowadays
|
TheSonomaDude
02.03.19 | i respect them from being from Iowa, a state with no scene. gives people from Oklahoma like me hope. otherwise really generic edgy cringy drop-A 9 band member shit |
BAT
02.03.19 | Yeah i had the experience of listenin to korn and deftones in the mid 90s (youngest of 4 bros), thaan slipknot just came out and killed errything. First 3 albums ruled by the time all hope is gone came out i was already getting into meshuggah annnd just didnt care for it. .5 was okkaaay but i wouldnt keep it in my rotation, i saw them 2 years ago and they kicked ass, their new drummer overplayed purity tho. Iowas prolly the heaviest numetal album tho. |

02.05.19 | Don’t listen to them as much as I did before, but I can still jam them when I feel in the mood. Iowa is their best tho. |
gschwen
02.05.19 | Their self titled record was the heaviest thing in radio rock at the time. It’s one of those things where the band eventually became a parody of itself and released some bad music while other bands finessed the genre. Later the genre just sort of ate itself in a wave of awful copycat acts. But s/t still has a place as being one of the better numetal records from that era. |
J() Alexander
02.05.19 | Their st and Iowa sound more like a parody than stuff like All Hope Is Gone and Vol. 3 tbh. |
Dedes
02.05.19 | A parody of what?
I can't say that a hell of a lot sounds like old Slipknot, especially before they really developed their more melodic sensibilities. |
J() Alexander
02.05.19 | It sounds more like a parody but it isn't one, really, it just sounds more ridiculous and parodies are usually ridiculous, but I wouldn't say it is a parody, it just kinda sounds like one. Even when I listened to that band the first two albums sounded kind of funny. |

02.05.19 | never really cared about them but I saw them live once and they were insane |

02.05.19 | But if it sounds like a parody...and it doesn't sound like a parody....w...wa...
The gears in my brain have come to a screeching halt |
Masochist
02.05.19 | I didn't listen to S/T or Iowa that much, but Vol. 3 was great. Even better after that type of music died down in popularity, I grew up, and I was able to enjoy it on its own merits. That's when I realized I actually enjoyed it a lot. |
Sinternet
02.05.19 | s/t is a really fucking good album, iowa is pretty good, vol 3 is decent but obvious cracks in their formula were starting to appear and the rest is utter shite |
Dedes
02.05.19 | All Hope Is Gone has a couple bangers.
Dead Memories has some rad hooks tbh |
TheClansman95
03.13.19 | I think they're really cool. I had to say that, because yes, they are |

03.13.19 | Urban Dictionary: Slipknot Fan
I always thought they played pop metal for the radio and were very commercially oriented. I find it interesting how many metal heads dig them. I've had people who's taste in music I respect urge me to check out their earlier stuff, but I personally just don't get it |
Scheumke
03.13.19 | Didn't really care for their music, still don't. Live though, its a whole different matter. I've seen them live about 5 times now and every single one was insane madness. If they would play in my hometown then big chance I'd actually buy tickets to it. The energy of the crowd at a Slipknot concert is something else. Some kind of feral rage gets loosed there and the atmosphere is so ripe with adrenaline you can drink it. Fcking insane shit. |
