03.02.19 | the screaming thing COULD, with some more unfortunate lyrical choices, verge upon cringy scenecore-rap shit but it didn't, and instead landed closer to angsty white boy LUM territory which is vastly preferable. just tread that line lightly. Hop i didn't like quite as much, mainly because i felt the first two independent clean verses were weaker and didn't hit a tone that resonates with me, BUT the third verse found its voice and the section with the dual cleans followed by dual clean/screams and the whacky electronics was really strong |
