04.10.19 | Thanks for this. My top 10 would include 2, 7, 20, 37, 45 |

04.10.19 | lol i used to buy this magazine when i was 13 (tbf their cover cd's had some great tracks on sometimes, got into CoL because of that)
the list is definitely a mix of incredible albums and disgustingly bad albums |

would be lyin if i shit on this since half of it rips hard (from here to infirmary, crisis, blink untitled, brand new eyes, etc) but another half of it is horrendous many of which above the stuff that should own this list |
Sinternet
04.10.19 | tbf they do heavily pander to that uk version of the hot topic crowd like 13-16 year olds, but then half their writers are 30+year old post-hardcore and metalhead dudes so it's a weird mix |

04.10.19 | I did read it for a while because they occasionally featured good bands, but gave up after they started putting 5 Seconds of Summer on the cover. I only bought this issue because Matt from Funeral for a Friend posted on Twitter about how they interviewed him about Hours for this issue (FFAF are my all time favourite band and Hours is my favourite album of theirs) and wanted to read that part.
But yeah, there's some glaring omissions, for sure (Rolo Tomassi, for instance) and to have shit like Black Veil Brides and Palaye Royale in there instead is ridiculous. I'm glad that bands like Touche Amore and La Dispute got featured (I'm a sucker for the wave bands, and those bands are both in my top 10 favourites) even if they were pretty high up. Plus I don't get the hype for The Black Parade or Twenty One Pilots in general. |

04.10.19 | black parade wrecks so it’s placement is fine but blurryface absolutely needs to be as far away from the list as possible |

04.10.19 | Meh, I personally feel the album in general is overhyped. I listened to it fairly recently, and only just under half the songs stuck with me outside of nostalgia. Then again, I'm one of the weird ones who's favourite MCR album is Bullets so what do I know haha. |
Demon of the Fall
04.10.19 | Is it weird that my biggest gripe with this generally appalling list is that they chose the wrong Biffy Clyro album? |
Demon of the Fall
04.10.19 | At least this list might get teenagers into Converge, haha |

Well they did put 'Infinity Land' at 205, but the only song by them I know is 'Mountains' so I wouldn't know what album you mean.
At least they did include bands like Touche Amore, La Dispute, Boysetsfire, Converge, The Get Up Kids, At The Drive-In, American Nightmare etc that some kids might not get exposed to otherwise. What irks me is the inclusion of all the scene bands like Asking Alexandria, Black Veil Brides, Sleeping With Sirens etc as well as Palaye Royale. I get that's what the majority of their readership probably listens to, but it means omitting albums by Departures, Rolo Tomassi, Modern Life Is War, Pianos Become The Teeth, Svalbard, Employed to Serve, mewithoutYou, More Than Life, Birds In Row, Joyce Manor, and Turnover to name but a few.
Also not sure about the inclusion of everyone's favourite Pop Punk nonces Neck Deep. |

04.10.19 | You need to listen to early Biffy back when they were on drugs. First 3 albums amazing |
Demon of the Fall
04.10.19 | Yeah, it’s a shame that a lot people now will only know their recent output which seems to mainly consist of arena-friendly milquetoast rock and copycat balladry. |
ArsMoriendi
04.10.19 | Holy shit most of this list is teenage angst |
DoofDoof
04.10.19 | aka ‘rock died somewhere around the year 1999’ - exhibit A |
ArsMoriendi
04.10.19 | I mean there's good indie rock out there post 1999... not on this list, but |
DoofDoof
04.10.19 | Ok more specifically defined as ‘rock as a major mainstream concern/viable youth movement’ then this list would make you think rock died in ‘99
Very cynical ‘young teen targeted’ - the Twilight Saga of music |

04.10.19 | There's plenty of great bands around that are a little more underground, but they don't get as much attention. Or at least, from my perspective as someone who mainly listens to Hardcore, Emo, Post Hardcore etc. |
MusicinaBox
04.10.19 | The fact that there are two MCR, BMTH, and FOB records on the top 50 is just inexcusable. Only band that deserves that here is LP, which I can't really listen to anymore but I respect the cultural impact. |
onionbubs
04.10.19 | there are a handful of bands here that deserve 2 albums in the top 50 they just don’t have it |
Stalusk
04.11.19 | There's a lot here to question, but Blink 182 at No. 7? Yowser! |

glad to see some Paramore and A7X here tho, high school me is happy |
Demon of the Fall
04.11.19 | Paramore is actually one of the least offensive things here tbh. |

04.11.19 | I think they picked the Top 10 based on how much hype they had/have as opposed to actual music quality. |
