09.27.19 | I've been a bit sad and angsty lately and also feeling insecure about my body and how I look but my fam tell me I'm crazy about my insecurities lol maybe I am too hard on myself. My parents are likely going to be splitting up, I have a lot of resentment towards my dad and think it would be liberating for my mom since my dad is a sexist controlling douche, but I cant help feeling pained and unsure for the future and you do only get one dad y'know.
I'll also be having a minor surgery on the 14th which I'm both excited and afraid of but the benefits are def worth it. I've been working on the process since the beginning of the year so it will be a relief to be done with it, then my life can really begin, hoping for good things to come my way :). Sorry for such a lengthy reply lol I just needed to vent a bit.
Hope all is well with you 💖

09.27.19 | Thank youuu, everything will be just fineee you'll see
Bombanfall is brootal I really like this | beefshoes
09.27.19 | The Galicia scene from Spain is my favourite as far as crust goes, but it's technically "neo/epic crust," and has a lot of influence from screamo and sometimes sludge.
Ekkaia's Manos que estrechan planes de muerte y sometimiento is my favourite from the scene, and it is a great place to start. If you like that, definitely check out Ictus's discography (especially Imperivm), Tenue's Anábasis, Down to Agony, Madame Germen, and just browse around on the RYM charts and lists from 2000 onward. So many incredible bands and albums, and the neo-crust scene has brought some of the best and most creative hardcore in the last 20 years. | RolyPoly
09.28.19 | Thank you beef! depending on the secondary genres I may not like (I'm very picky with metal) but I dont mind screamo, I will look into these and keep an open mind. | beefshoes
09.28.19 | No problem, and I hope that you enjoy them!
Here is a great list of recs from Spain with a few other picks that I didn't mention: https://rateyourmusic.com/list/nisaga/spanish-neocrust-modern-crust/
Here is another for neocrust in general. https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Draki/neocrust/
Alpinist is probably my personal favourite from the picks, and they have a massive sound on both of their albums. Downfall of Gaia and Fall of Efrafa are also essentials from the style, with the former having a strong black metal influence (their album from earlier this year is incredible), and the later taking more from post-rock and post-metal.
Tragedy is one of the most straightforward as far as crust is concerned, but they are commonly held as being the best from the whole movement.
That's a lot, but given how short these records are on average, it's easy to sample a fairly large variety over a weekend or two. Enjoy, and let me know if you are interested in some more bands. | Sniff
09.28.19 | Anger Burning - Warcharge | Sniff
09.29.19 | ya livet som instats owns too | DopeFiend
09.29.19 | His Hero Is Gone x1000
The Swarm - Parasitic Skies
Cursed - II | Viriathus
09.29.19 | Fuck yeah Death Church.
For Crass you should give them a second go with Stations of the Crass, its an easier listen than Penis Envy and both are incredibly good in my eyes. Why is a great album but I think Discharge were at their best on their second release, definitely throw that one on if have yet to. |
