11.12.20 | Another day of Nu-Nut November, another list.
I am so sorry. |
alamo
11.12.20 | just jammed 12 playing nfsmw and it was perfect |
davezillaMP3
11.12.20 | Hell yeah! 6 is right on (and the best nothingface record). I can count 12 personly as a significant chunk of Vk starting in the 2000s is Nu-Metal or Nu-metal inspired (it still is happening, now just with a lot metalcore). |
Shuyin
11.12.20 | No Flaw or Five Pointe 0? |
Supercoolguy64
11.12.20 | 10 is their only consistently good album, but man is it good |
rodrigo90
11.12.20 | Dir En grey was clearly a victim of the Americanization, the opposite of the Asian invasion in the late 90's |
oisincoleman64
11.12.20 | Flaw fucking suck, really solid top 10 |
Brabiz
11.13.20 | Yeah idk, i like Flaw personally but not something i’d hold above any of these.
Also yeah, 10 is an awesome album, been listening to it a lot lately and even though it has some overly edgy parts, it’s a really heavy, memorable album |
Brabiz
11.13.20 | Dysfunction is pretty awesome too |
Brabiz
11.13.20 | @rodrigo90 i wouldn’t say that about their later stuff though lol. |
Supercoolguy64
11.13.20 | The stupid skits with the guy trying too hard to sound “broken” kinda sours the mood but all the riffs save it completely. Dysfunction is aight but half of that album is just radio ballads |

11.13.20 | If 3 counts, then you open the door to all the other "not really nu-metal the way people think of nu-metal bands" and the list is ruined.
Pulse Ultra, Apex Theory, Nonpoint, 30STM, Spineshank, 10 Years, Sevendust, Boy Hits Car, 36 Crazyfists and even Endo all have better releases than lots on this list imo. But I'm a bit of a nu-metal elitist. |
Brabiz
11.13.20 | 10 Years, Pulse Ultra, 30STM aren’t even Nu-Metal. Get that hard rock nonsense out of here. This is a badass, hardcore Nu-metal list. “Nu-metal elitist” pfft. Call me when you graduate the 6th grade pal.
Lol but seriously, I enjoy all of the bands you listed, check out my two definitive Nu-metal lists, there’s a ton of stuff on there to check out if you haven’t heard some of it. |
Brabiz
11.13.20 | Also 3 is definitely Nu-metal |
gschwen
11.13.20 | I like a lot of the picks on this list. Good list.
I’ve never considered Deftones nu-metal and defend the opinion that they are not. RATM wasn’t numetal either. If I was adding a couple of albums from bands confused as nu-metal I’d throw in Boy Hits Car’s first record and Anarchists of Good Taste.
Five Pointe O, Dysfunction, 36 Crazyfists [2] and Vex Red. |
bloaf38
12.13.20 | I don't really like nu metal. But I like Deftones and System. 1,2,5,and 11 are all good. |
0GuyMan0
12.14.20 | You go pretty hard, even Grade8 made your definitive lists and that's one of my low-key go-to nu-metal records for the chonky riffs and catchy drumming.
Gizmachi was kinda hanging around this scene, but probably too "clown" to really be called nu-metal. I honestly can't think of any bands you missed in those two lists. |
davezillaMP3
02.20.21 | Heck yeah nothingface And DEG! |
Rammbrecher
02.20.21 | I'd argue The Sickness has a place here. |
