Icebloom: Phoebe Bridgers songs ranked

Icebloom 12.03.20	So basically Stranger in the Alps + Punisher t/t and Saviour Complex. After Chinese Satellite the list is loosely ranked since I don’t really care about those songs.

Sowing 12.03.20	Appreciate any Phoebe list but I Know The End is #1 for me. Funeral would be #2. Punisher would occupy more of my top 10 than SitA, too.

BenThatsMyJamin 12.03.20	This is... actually very correct wow, I thought not many ppl would agree with my Phoebe ranking. I'd put Funeral at 1 though and Scott Street is also better than Punisher and Saviour Complex.

Icebloom 12.03.20	Huh, I wouldn't have thought so many people would agree on that take, felt like it is generally regarded as an album highlight. Also @Slex implying the ranking is completely wrong otherwise? haha
Disorderly 12.03.20	I Know the End is a good song, and I enjoy it quite a bit, but I see tons of people piling heaps upon heaps of praise on it, even some calling it one of the greatest songs ever, and I just don't get that lol

Colton 12.03.20	I feel like it transitions to the "metal" part in an inorganic way, feels forced, and the screams are half assed at best. Laughing at the end feels like a copout too
BenThatsMyJamin 12.03.20	Agreed. It seems she thinks all you have to do to write a good climax is throw absolutely everything at the wall. And in this case, nothing stuck.

JohnnyoftheWell 12.03.20	Agreed with a lot of this (lol those screams and bigger lol that 'off-mic' epilogue), but Georgia has her best climax while Chinese Satellite has easily her worst "One of the two tracks from Punisher that are on par with her debut. That string arrangement…" ^this, so hard. the way she butchers it on Copycat Killer was stirringly bad, but that original is wonderful
Sowing 12.03.20	I don't know, I like the ending. It's so unexpected. Just feels like a "fuck it" moment and fits the theme of the song and album (oh hey, it's end of the world, just scream into oblivion!) Agreed that the laugh is a cop out however. If you're going to take a huge risk then commit to it. I can't say for sure that's how she intended it (as a "haha jk"), but if she did, then it's lame a detracts from everything the album built towards.
TalonsOfFire 12.03.20	I like I Know the End a lot, it'd be around 10th for me. Good list, I'd change track placements in a number of places but generally agreed. I've found the versions of Chelsea, Georgia, and Killer on her Killer EP to be nice alternatives, and I prefer that version of Chelsea.
