| Phoebe Bridgers songs ranked | 20 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Chelsea [2.5/5]
Uninteresting song that goes on for too long. | 19 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Garden Song [3]
Strange choice for a single. | 18 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
I Know the End [3]
I never understood (the love for) I Know The End. I appreciate Bridgers trying new things, but I just donât think it works out here; the melodies arenât memorable, the climax feels a bit random and the screams are just unpleasant to listen to. | 17 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
ICU [3] | 16 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Moon Song [3]
I always lol at the âAnd if I could give you the moon / I would give you the moonâ-part, sung as if these are the Most Important and Most Insightful lyrics on the whole album, followed by the even more dramatic âYou are sick / and youâre married / and you might be dyingâ. Fun stuff. | 15 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Kyoto [3] | 14 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Halloween [3.5] | 13 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Georgia [3.5]
Good song, but the climax is a bit overblown in my opinion. I guess I prefer her calmer songs. | 12 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Graceland Too [3.5] | 11 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Chinese Satellite [3.5]
One of the better songs on Punisher. Too bad thereâs no real ending; the song just sort of⌠stops. | 10 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Would You Rather [4]
âQuarantined in a bad dreamâ | 9 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Motion Sickness [4] | 8 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Demi Moore [4] | 7 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
You Missed My Heart [4]
The beautifully drawn-out closer to her debut, a cover of a Sun Kil Moon song. So peaceful. Gets extra points for helping me discover Mark Kozelek, currently my favourite artist after The National. | 6 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Killer [4] | 5 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Scott Street [4.5]
Brilliant song, grew a lot on me over the last years. The last part of the song is the best part. | 4 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Savior Complex [4.5]
One of the two tracks from Punisher that are on par with her debut. That string arrangement⌠| 3 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Funeral [4.5] | 2 | | Phoebe Bridgers Punisher
Punisher [4.5]
The title track of her latest album immediately struck a chord with me; itâs been one of my favourite songs of her ever since. | 1 | | Phoebe Bridgers Stranger in the Alps
Smoke Signals [5]
âI buried a hatchet, itâs coming up lavender / the futureâs unwritten, the past is a corridor / Iâm at the exit, looking back through the hall / You are anonymous, I am a concrete wallâ | |

12.03.20 | So basically Stranger in the Alps + Punisher t/t and Saviour Complex. After Chinese Satellite the list is loosely ranked since I donât really care about those songs. | SteakByrnes
12.03.20 | Kyoto is 1 for me | Sowing
12.03.20 | Appreciate any Phoebe list but I Know The End is #1 for me. Funeral would be #2. Punisher would occupy more of my top 10 than SitA, too. | mynameischan
12.03.20 | I agree with you about I Know the End. The screaming is so bad. | Slex
12.03.20 | 1 is 1 at least | BenThatsMyJamin
12.03.20 | This is... actually very correct wow, I thought not many ppl would agree with my Phoebe ranking. I'd put Funeral at 1 though and Scott Street is also better than Punisher and Saviour Complex. | Colton
12.03.20 | yeah the screaming in I Know The End is horrendous | Icebloom
12.03.20 | Huh, I wouldn't have thought so many people would agree on that take, felt like it is generally regarded as an album highlight.
Also @Slex implying the ranking is completely wrong otherwise? haha | Disorderly
12.03.20 | I Know the End is a good song, and I enjoy it quite a bit, but I see tons of people piling heaps upon heaps of praise on it, even some calling it one of the greatest songs ever, and I just don't get that lol | BenThatsMyJamin
12.03.20 | The melody in the build-up is rly nice but the climax is honestly so ham-fisted | Colton
12.03.20 | I feel like it transitions to the "metal" part in an inorganic way, feels forced, and the screams are half assed at best. Laughing at the end feels like a copout too | BenThatsMyJamin
12.03.20 | Agreed. It seems she thinks all you have to do to write a good climax is throw absolutely everything at the wall. And in this case, nothing stuck. | mynameischan
12.03.20 | The rest of the song is great. But the end ruins it. | JohnnyoftheWell
12.03.20 | Agreed with a lot of this (lol those screams and bigger lol that 'off-mic' epilogue), but Georgia has her best climax while Chinese Satellite has easily her worst
"One of the two tracks from Punisher that are on par with her debut. That string arrangementâŚ"
^this, so hard. the way she butchers it on Copycat Killer was stirringly bad, but that original is wonderful | Sowing
12.03.20 | I don't know, I like the ending. It's so unexpected. Just feels like a "fuck it" moment and fits the theme of the song and album (oh hey, it's end of the world, just scream into oblivion!) Agreed that the laugh is a cop out however. If you're going to take a huge risk then commit to it. I can't say for sure that's how she intended it (as a "haha jk"), but if she did, then it's lame a detracts from everything the album built towards. | TalonsOfFire
12.03.20 | I like I Know the End a lot, it'd be around 10th for me. Good list, I'd change track placements in a number of places but generally agreed. I've found the versions of Chelsea, Georgia, and Killer on her Killer EP to be nice alternatives, and I prefer that version of Chelsea. | Icebloom
12.04.20 | Oh good shout, I've never listened to that EP. |
