- Pink Floyd, One of These Day

DoofDoof
04.28.21 | This one is surprisingly close to the best of the lot too, certainly in terms of depth in that top 10 - the bottom two are v strong |
JKing92
04.28.21 | Black Sabbath - "Solitude"
The Who - "Baba O'Riley"
Pink Floyd - "Echoes" |

04.28.21 | This is the best runners up list so far |
DoofDoof
04.28.21 | farmero - have to admit a couple like 'Maggot Brain' and 'One of These Days' could have made the top 10 |

04.28.21 | Nice runners up!
One of the biggest differences I have definitely noticed between you and me is David Bowie. I can appreciate a lot of his stuff but I will be honest I've never been much of a fan of him in general. |

04.28.21 | 1 is 1 forever and always. |

04.28.21 | Love 1, 4, and 5 (1 is one of only like 3 Cohen songs I know though...) |

04.28.21 | You absolutely gotta get into cohen boney |
theBoneyKing
04.28.21 | Yeah... I lump him in with my general overlooking of 60s/70s music. |
CaliggyJack
04.28.21 | Cohen is a legend. |
DoofDoof
04.28.21 | Surprised you don't dig Bowie too much Caliggy |
CaliggyJack
04.28.21 | He does great pop every once in awhile, but I think he goes straight off the cliff of art pop sometimes. There's a point where it stops being high art and starts feeling a bit pretentious, but that's just me.
The Berlin trilogy is fantastic. |
JKing92
04.28.21 | I've always loved the glam trilogy the most. Hunky Dory, Ziggy, and Aladdin remain my three favorite Bowie albums. |
DoofDoof
04.28.21 | I guess I do too overall - Low is his best but Heroes and Lodger are only really half top quality, I’d rate Aladdin/Hunky higher than both, and Ziggy isn’t so far behind Low
If Station had been part of the Berlin trilogy and Lodger not then it’d be the other way |

04.28.21 | These are definitely on my list to check out, as I'm currently going through a 1971 discog run. I'm finding my preferences are more mainstream and eschew blues-rock in general, making it difficult to get through a lot of it.
Mine would probably look like
The Who - Baba O'Reilly
Rolling Stones - Can't you Hear Me Knocking
Bowie - Life on Mars?
Led Zeppelin - Black Dog
Elton John - Tiny Dancer
Harry Nilsson - Gotta Get Up
Yes - Roundabout
Sabbath - Children of the Grave
Something on Surfs Up
Focus - Hocus Pocus |
DoofDoof
04.28.21 | I was supposed to give ‘Fragile’ another listen to see if ‘Roundabout’ qualified for me
Nice list though |

04.28.21 | I was hesitant that including Roundabout would out me a memelord (which may be true) but it is a good song in it's own right. |
