Great songs in bad metal albums
Suggest me other like these |
1 | | Megadeth Risk
PRINCE OF DARKNESS
After R.i.p. Megadeth gone progressively softer with each album but managed to keep the high quality, then it comes Risk. The album contains some of their cheesiest stuff such as i'll be there. But, holy shit, this track is amazing. A groovy song about satan containing awesome riffs and an eerie atmosphere. If only the rest of the album were similar to this it could be much better. |
2 | | Slayer Repentless
TAKE CONTROL
Repentless is the only album (aside for U.A.) that i can't listen from slayer. I even like diabolus for it's experimentation and atmosphere. This is just dull, predictable and average stuff. Take control is one hell of a banger though |
3 | | Metallica St. Anger
FRANTIC
So bad it's so good. Frantic is over the top and cheesy but i still can't hate it, while the rest of the album (aside for the title track) is just, well...you know. |
4 | | Anthrax Stomp 442
FUELED
Energic, groovy and catchy |
5 | | Fear Factory Transgression
ECHO OF MY SCREAM
Actually i kinda like transgression but it's objectively a cut below the other works, especially for the terrible production that almost ruins great songs like 540.000 degrees fahreneit. But it works surprisingly well with echo of my scream, such a beautiful dark ballad. |
6 | | Machine Head Supercharger
BULLDOZER
Burning red was a pretty good nu metal album imo, this one has too many ridiculous moments and it's even more disappointing after you listened to such a great opener. Some of the best breakdowns by the band. |
7 | | Iron Maiden The X Factor
EDGE OF DARKNESS
Blaze's project has plenty good songs but with maiden he's terrible. The songwriting and melodies of this one saved it from being another bad song. |
8 | | Korn The Path of Totality
NARCISSISTIC CANNIBAL
The only song i can save from this stuff. Before this even their worst albums had good songs, TPOT is just a mess all over, if you want to listen some pretty fine metal with dubstep influences go with Blue Stahli's debut and ignore this one. |
9 | | Black Sabbath Never Say Die!
NEVER SAY DIE
How can i dislike such a fun chorus? I actually like the album but i would never dare to call it good. |
10 | | Five Finger Death Punch American Capitalist
AMERICAN CAPITALIST
One of the most fairly hated bands ever. While the guitar work is pretty good, the music is predictable and the lyrics are just incoherent, laughable and self-righteous, sometimes heiling for peace and sometimes for war. That said i found myself to appreciate the title track for it's catchiness |
11 | | In flames Battles
THROUGH MY EYES
I love every single in flames work with Stromblad. Without him the band just fell into the depth of shit. Soapf had some great songs such as a new down but was just above average, siren charms is maybe the worst album made by one of my favorite bands. Battles was a little better, but still bad. This song is pretty great, it makes me almost forget about how tragic"the truth" is. |
12 | | Ministry Relapse
UNITED FORCES
For the most a bland work but they truly nailed S.o.d. cover. |
13 | | Mudvayne The New Game
SCARLET LETTERS
The guys who gave you the best nu metal album ever created such a hollow work that i can't rememner half of it. There are some good songs though, scarlett letters is just great. |
14 | | Limp Bizkit Significant Other
BREAK STUFF
This guy annoys me with every molecule of his being. But i admit that this song/video is pretty fun. |
15 | | Papa Roach Infest
LAST RESORT
Ooooh yes, i love papa roach, the guys who made that catchy tune, last resort! And, also....well, last resort is fine. |
16 | | Powerman 5000 Tonight the Stars Revolt
WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE
This is the most 1999 thing ever. |
17 | | Judas priest Nostradamus
PLAGUE AND PESTILENCE
I love concept albums and i love priest, imagine my disappointment when i listened to this.
This track is one of the few redeeming qualities of nostradamus. I wonder if he predicted this too |
18 | | Lordi To Beast or Not to Beast
WE'RE NOT BAD FOR KIDS
Lordi were part of my childhood. So each year i grew up i was more conscious about what the fuck i was listening when i was a kid. When i listened this one i was surprised about how great the first song was, then the rest of the album came. |
19 | | Kreator Outcast
BLACK SUNRISE/PHOBIA
Kreator had some identity crisis issues back then. Outcast is pretty bland for the most but these two songs gives me the chills, beautifully crafted eerie atmosphere |
20 | | Death angel Killing Season
BURIED ALIVE
A great one inside an album that's average at best. |
21 | | Slipknot Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.
DO NOTHING/BITCHSLAP
Before releasing their first studio album the band sounded like a confused version of Mr.Bungle with an amplified mosquito as guitars and a completely out of place vocalist. This avant-garde funk-death metal hybrid contains maybe Paul Gray's best performance, i wish he used more slap technique in later albums. |
22 | | Morbid angel Illud Divinum Insanus
I AM MORBID
A fun track, it was like a breath of air among a torture. |
23 | | Disturbed Immortalized
SOUND OF SILENCE
Don't care what people say, this cover is fantastic. I just wonder what the fuck they were thinking during the songwriting process on the rest of the album |
24 | | Steel panther Heavy Metal Rules
ALWAYS GONNA BE A HO
This band alway been my guilty pleasure. Their first 3 works are great, both for the music and the hilarious lyrics. This album came out in my birthday so i was pretty happy, then i listened to it. This is the only song both good in a comedic sense and in the musical one. I hope that was just a mistake |
25 | | Annihilator Remains
MURDER
I love how Jeff Waters change sound for almost every album. I think that most of his experiments works pretty well, this one...eeeeh worked less. The opening is such a great combination of groove and industrial, while the album is mainly a failed experiment, it have it's moments. |
