10.02.21 | I definitely like that idea, but I don't have any experience with doing tournaments on here as well as some others, and I'm not sure if it's been done before.
I would think something like a 20 band compiled list of the sputnik favorites would be pretty epic. It sounds like a lot but we could all probably come up with 20 bands in a matter of seconds, I guess the first step would be polling a list of 80 or 100 and getting the top 20 from that, and then go from there into like one on ones or something. |

10.02.21 | Woah, I don't think I've ever noticed that compilation before. I've seen the cat image of course, but it was something titled different and looked like a fan made version of b-sides than a real release.
The votes on Halo is like waaay lower than I expected.. and I just peeked at B-Sides and Rarities on the Deftones side and it's only at 641? I thought that was heard by everybody who was a Deftones fan at one point... They should really have about 1,000 votes a piece here. |

10.02.21 | With Halo it's just one of those instances where not only is it very clearly inferior to to the band's future material, but it is also rather obscure and can't be found on streaming, can only be bought on ebay/discogs, and has sorta been disowned by the band themselves more or less.
In terms of B-sides and Rarities... I'd say its because Deftones is just not a very interesting cover band and there's nothing really of note on it. |

10.02.21 | @Alex, Dang, I didn't realize Halo wasn't on streaming platforms (haven't used any for almost a year and a half now) and didn't know the band felt that way about it. Those are both pretty big contributing factors for sure. For B-Sides, I thought they had a couple of songs that have/could get the attention of those as much as a normal release imo. It was big amongst my crowd (back in school) in '05, lol, with the acoustic Change, The Chauffeur, Savory, etc and I think people do go to it a lot for some of those songs, like on YouTube and whatnot, but I still see what you're saying- it's a sleeper hit (with very minor hits) lol.
Also, does anything really compare to the Soundtrack (Disney) run from 1938 all the way up until 2000 with Emperor's New Groove. Geeeez, it's just straight stacked with 5's.
