2021 - They finally clicked
I have tried these for years once in a while, finally clicked, here are songs that got me through.
Of course, it is now very hard for me to understand how come I did not like these before. I am a big fan of listening to albums in full but clicking with a band usually starts with a song or two (talking of course about bands that are not instant/quick) clicks, hence this list. It feels like getting a crack in the ice covering a frozen lake, it very quickly swallows you fully after it happens. There are exceptions to this also (in 2021 Bell Witch, Rorcal and Shrine of Insanabilis finally clicked whilst there was no particular song that made them cross the bridge).
This year I also gave up on Aosoth, Ash borer, Aevangelist, Panopticon, Spectral Voice and Woods of Ypres, but in all fairness High on Fire , The wounded kings , Windhand, Count Raven and Lord Vicar are bands I gave up on years back and they clicked quite amazingly this year (after Reverend bizarre, Sleep and Om did), so who knows how this goes. |
