07.13.22 | Poke can go either way for me, a good fresh poke done right is god-tier, but a mediocre poke will ruin poke for me for months |

07.13.22 | Made home-made poke bowls last weekend actually. Benefit of west coast living is easy access to sushi grade fish |

As far as east asian food in bowls goes Bibimbap goes hard |

07.13.22 | Bibimbap is amazing but if it isn’t served in a sizzling stone bowl it isn’t even worth looking at |

07.13.22 | I really like how poke tastes but every time I've eaten it its given me food poisoning |

07.13.22 | @ledd I wouldn’t personally eat poke away from the coast for that same reason. I don’t really fucks with seafood away from the coast in general, but especially with raw |

Yeah, the stone bowl is practically essential. I remember have some lamb stew with veggies at a Turkish restaurant in Bahrain while on deployment, and having it served in that way made it so much better |

07.13.22 | I'm with potsy. Good poke is amazing but meh can be a real turn off

07.14.22 | @koris, it really is. The way that it sizzles on arrival and is still partially cooking so you have the choice to leave the egg yolk to get firmer or mix it up right away to change the consistency of the bowl… I like to leave the bottom of the bowl unmixed so that when I get to it the rice is super crispy. It’s all part of the novelty. |
