09.14.22 | I'm very sorry for your loss my friend, I also lost our family cat a few years ago and it's very difficult. I'm sure she had a really great life with you and is now able to rest without any pain. Much love, dude |

09.14.22 | It is very much losing a family member. A pets life is too short, and that's their only fault really. Sorry for your loss. Grieve like you would any other loss, don't bottle it, that's what I would say. |

09.14.22 | I’m sorry to hear it. I’ve lost my dog, and multiple cats over the years and it’s always like losing a family member. My condolences.
If you need a good cry to get your feelings out, Google the rainbow bridge. It always still makes me cry like a baby. So don’t go there if you’re not wanting to get all emotional. |

09.14.22 | Sorry for your loss man.
I had a cat for 13 years when I was younger. Had to put her down too, she had a UTI and her body wasn't responding to treatments. To this day it is the most brutal loss I've experienced so I feel u bro. |

09.14.22 | I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I hope you can take comfort and solace in knowing you gave her an amazing life for all 16 years she was with you. Keep those memories of her alive in your mind and in stories you tell about her, and she'll be with you in spirit for the rest of your life as well. It's a crime they can't live as long as humans. |

09.14.22 | I'm so sorry Kusangii. It's so hard knowing that we don't get to keep our best friends forever, and I'm sure the life you gave her was the absolute best. I've recently dealt with the loss of a pet, and it's very tough, so take the time to feel sad and reflect so you can move forward with the fond memories of the good times you got to share |

09.14.22 | Thank you guys. It has been tougher than I imagined. It just feels emptier and lonelier when she's not around. But at least she lived a good life until the recent times and got to be 16 years old, which I think is pretty long for a cat? The worst part was when she was officially gone and just laid there lifeless. So damn brutal. But at least she was free from the pain and hopefully to a better place. |

09.14.22 | I got a little black cat at the beginning of the pandemic. Unfortunately, she died from a suspected brain tumor about 18 months later at the age of 4. But man, we had such a beautiful year of lockdown together. She was rescued from the streets so it was a small comfort to know her best and last year of life was with me. Sorry for your loss. No matter the age, it's so difficult. 16 years is a great long life for a cat, though. |

09.14.22 | I'm sorry for your loss. I've lost four dogs in my life and its never easy, so I understand your pain. Best regards. |

09.14.22 | I actually had another cat about 17 years ago that died very young from some kind of brain injury too. She had damaged her head very traumatically and she basically had constant psychosis. She was afraid of her own shadow, walked backwards and constantly peed herself. That was way worse than this since she didn't get to live a normal life and was in complete torture at the end of her life. But this one was just different since she's been part of my life for such a long time. Half my life. Crazy. |

09.14.22 | 16 years is a long time yeah! so sad, I'm sorry that she's gone. I'm sure you were a wonderful owner and that she (therefore) had a good life. RIP |

09.14.22 | Sorry man 😢
We had to put our cat down a couple years ago and it was one of the most difficult things of my life. Of course I’ve had family pets as a child put down but it’s very different when you are the one responsible and you have to bring them and console them and see them put down. I was an absolute mess. My biggest regret is not having done it sooner. We kept clinging to hope that he would make a recovery and I see in hindsight that the medication was prolonging his life, but that meant nothing when he no longer had QUALITY of life. My parents passed on a tip to me for this kind of thing: think of your pets three favourite things in the world. Once they are no longer able to do two of these three things it is time to put them down. If you wait til they can no longer do any of these things you are likely just causing them to suffer out of selfishness.
I got a new cat the next day. I couldn’t go without a new companion. It helped a lot. But honestly putting that cat down definitely scarred me a lot, to the point that I have anxiety and invasive thoughts about having to do it to my new cat eventually even tho he is only 2 years old. I’m very over protective of him because of it. So I feel your pain, and I’m sorry for your loss. RIP. |

09.14.22 | my condolences, i had my childhood dog put down on my first day of high school and i've never forgotten how brutal of a decision that was, still haven't encountered any grief that felt quite like that. my only advice is to allow yourself to be enmeshed in the emotions it brings for a bit, like really make an effort to feel and process them instead of distracting yourself. i listened to as much pg. 99 as i could when Moose passed away and just thrashed in total upset rage and came out stronger from it. again, i send my regards, shit's rough but ultimately it's a test of the love we have |

09.15.22 | Deepest condolences. I have a little cat who is 9 years old and I sometimes worry about how I'll cope when he's gone. I've lost very close family members
over the years but he's my first pet and I get the feeling that losing him will be a totally different kind of loss. Sending positive vibes at this horrendous time and hope you can get through it soon. |

09.15.22 | I lost my dog at the beginning of Covid. Restrictions prevented me from being in the room while she was put down and I still call it the worst day of my life. So that’s my experience or whatever.
I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s no different than losing a family member. |

09.15.22 | god damn it. sorry brother. just remember that 16 years is a long and solid life. ur kitty did good 🫡
we got all our family pets within a couple years of each other (5 dogs 5 cats) and have lost 1-2 a year for the past 5 years. it hurts big time for sure, but luckily they all made it to 15+ so i’m eternally thankful for their companionship for half my life |

09.15.22 | My girlfriend had to let her cat fall into her final sleep almost two years ago due to end stage renal failure. I only knew that cat for about two years but it was a heavy day, as was watching her final and rapid deterioration of her condition when her kidneys finally gave in. An animal is just as much a person and a friend as a human, and it just sucks and you grieve a ton. Sorry for your loss. |
