For me this is one of the greatest post-hardcore/screamo-records in the last couple of years. The vocals are intense, be it the screamed, spoken or sung parts and the use of violin on this album is very refreshing.
After the art-pop-masterpeice "All Mirrors" Angel Olsen returns to her country roots. The result is an overall softer and more wistful album. Really loved this!
I feel like this album doesn't get enough love here on sputnik. Really slow-building, melancholic indie-rock that perfectly captures the nostalgic side of winter/christmas time.
