BitterJalapenoJr 04.21.23	Due to the amount of driving I'm doing for work at the moment, I've decided to add a third output method: car speakers. The only conclusion I've drawn thus far is that the car speakers win for Confield. It sounds fucking unbelievable on my regular drive from Glasgow to Edinburgh . The utterly desolate sound is a perfect match for the bleak motorway views as the pathetic morning sunlight attempts to make itself visible at the horizon. Also, deadline for challenge completion is regrettably pushed back to the end of July.

BitterJalapenoJr 04.21.23	a device containing multiple speakers usually paired with a separate subwoofer - generally wall mounted under a TV and great for enhancing audio for films etc. Not superb for analytical musical listening but it's the best form of speaker based audio I own at present.

BitterJalapenoJr 04.21.23	It's a vast improvement on the set up I had previously and sounds fantastic to me in comparison but my cans beat it hands down and they were about £400 (DAC was £200). When I move to a bigger flat, I intend on obtaining a much more sophisticated speaker arrangement.

BitterJalapenoJr 04.22.23	@unclereich I was desperately in need of reasonable speakers and got a bonus from work at Christmas so I spunked some of it the soundbar in what was very much an impulse purchase. It definitely could be better but it will certainly do for now. I put myself through turmoil by changing the sound mode constantly and being unable to decide what one I prefer. Different genres complicate this further. How's the Sonos treating you? My brother has one and loves it.

zakalwe 04.22.23	Too right mate. I have the Q800 and it massively serves a purpose. I use it for the tele rarely but it’s the go to music and I’m not looking to change it any time soon.
BitterJalapenoJr 05.11.23	The earliest 3 albums are most enjoyable on the sounbar thus far but the cans with DAC are owning it big time on the mighty elseq 1-5. Decision on the breakdown of rating on the elseqs expected shortly.

BitterJalapenoJr 05.24.23	As indicated earlier, the soundbar takes Incunabula, Amber and Tri Repetae while the headphones claim elseq 1-5. Confield also moved from car to headphones after a couple of relistens.

Hyperion1001 06.04.23	just recently picked up the draft repress on wax. some of their absolute best work on that album.
BitterJalapenoJr 06.04.23	Yeah Draft is top 3 for me so far but still a good amount of stuff to hear. SURRIPERE is probably my favourite on Draft.
BitterJalapenoJr 07.11.23	Update: Found Untilted to be massively impenetrable on the headphones and soundbar so that goes to the car. The headphones take Quaristice and Oversteps but due to their two hour lengths, Exai and all 4 NTS Sessions go to the soundbar. Likewise, if going for a single sitting of the elseq 1-5 soundbar is preferred although they all better on headphones before fatigue sets in. Also had to start breaking ratings down to form some sort of order due to the amount of similar ratings I was giving. Only two albums to go then I might try to integrate the EPs (probably should have been doing that already for a more coherent experience [I habe heard about half of them]).
