03.09.23 | So March Madness is a big event in the U.S. where the top 64 basketball teams in the nation are tossed into a massive single-elimination tournament. Due to how unpredictable basketball can be on a single-game basis, the tournament is known for having a lot of upsets that drastically alter the outcome--hence the "Madness" portion (as well as the fact so many teams are involved).
It's pretty common in the U.S. for people to try and predict brackets as best as possible, with cash prizes involved for those who do the best job or just bragging rights. |
