My fave Ministry album is Twitch tbh |

06.11.23 | I've been meaning to check more industrial, but I'm mostly interested in the non-rock stuff that's catchy I guess (like Cabaret Volatire's Micro-Phonies)
SO like EBM then? hmmm |

06.11.23 | I don't like Cabaret Voltaire tbh. :( But Coil is a good call. |

good list industrial rules, 80s (Nurse) British (With) stuff (Wound) is the peak though |

06.12.23 | yeh SPK is on my bucket list. Should listen to them soon.
I'm very open to suggestions based on the list. Industrial is such an underappreciated genre here on Sputnik. |

06.12.23 | > So what's the best EBM album
I am very big on Nitzer Ebb but they are apparently very hit or miss. They're tribal, rhythmic, almost fascistic in presentation. Defo not the delicate "smart" electro industrial of Front Line Assembly. But That Total Age is the EBM holy grail for me. DAF is also brilliant but their albums are more experimental in nature. Early Laibach also has some great EBM tracks. |

06.12.23 | Hmmm fascist isn’t exactly what I’m looking for in my industrial lol
May check Front Line Assembly tho |

06.12.23 | > Hmmm fascist isn’t exactly what I’m looking for in my industrial
Man you're not going to find many EBM bands then. |
ArsMoriendi
06.12.23 | Maybe that’s why I liked Twitch by Ministry lol very far left type lyrics
Micro-Phonies was mostly sexy stuff |
kkarron
06.13.23 | See it's a weird thing, a lot of EBM is obviously left-wing (like a lot of music in general), it's the appropriation and recontextualization of fascist, stalinist and totalitarian imagery in general that they use and that works really well with the genre. Mostly because of how martialistic it is. It is sexy, just in a weird awkward BDSM way. It's what a lot of people didn't get about Laibach - good satire always confuses folk. |

06.13.23 | uh hello please respond to porc's correct assertion that Nurse With Wound must make their way onto this list! i see you have none rated, check their debut xx |

06.13.23 | fuck right will do with gusto once I give 'em a spin |
Demon of the Fall
06.13.23 | need to check more of this stuff, gone through a few things here but mostly just stick with SPK and Coil thus far
I love Big Black, but wouldn't expect to see them on a list such a this |
Drifter
06.13.23 | that first album looks like ben shapiro in an alternate timeline |
kkarron
06.13.23 | > I love Big Black, but wouldn't expect to see them on a list such a this
I dunno, I hear stuff like Cables and Kitty Empire and I'd say it's as industrial as it gets, at least in the Swans-Godflesh direction. |
Demon of the Fall
06.13.23 | I wasn't necessarily disagreeing, let's say it was an interesting perspective. I get the parallels |
MoM
06.13.23 | “ that first album looks like ben shapiro in an alternate timeline”
Might not be so alternate for all we know |
