Eminem Ranked 2023
Okay, well this was another overdue reranking I forgot I put off. This is based on vibe of the whole album + taking the peaks of each and stacking them up, roughly. It seems I do one of these every couple years and they get widely more different after each one. Not included this time is ShadyXV and The Re-Up. |

2 | | Eminem The Marshall Mathers LP |
3 | | Eminem Relapse
The sleeping killer. Wait until I sneak this in at 2. |
4 | | Eminem Music to Be Murdered By |
5 | | Eminem The Slim Shady LP
Is it controversial to have SSLP below MTBMB, you goddamn right it is and tragedies happened in two states. Sometimes I can't tell if I'm warm or cool with this album, and like MTBMB it works best (for me) with different tracks taken at different times rather than complete runthroughs. |
6 | | Eminem The Slim Shady EP
The hunger on this can always be stated. Murder Murder is one of my favorite rap songs ever. |
7 | | Eminem Kamikaze
The brevity. Feels like half of one of his albums and it makes it more of an attribute. |
8 | | Eminem The Marshall Mathers LP 2
I originally had this at 5th but I have honestly way overheard this one and while I'm not at odds with the premise, the deluxe is what truly holds this up. |
9 | | Bad Meets Evil Hell: The Sequel
Royce is a lot of fun, and there's plenty of verses he's done that top Em's honestly. |
10 | | Eminem Music to Be Murdered By: Side B
My biggest takeaways from this by far is Black Magic, These Demons, and Zeus. Second to those I'd have Book of Rhymes and Discombobulated, maybe Gnat. |
11 | | Soundtrack (Film) 8 Mile Soundtrack |
12 | | Eminem Recovery
This has its moments but it kick-started the Em we're probably all annoyed of. |
13 | | Eminem Encore
It's difficult man. This could have been something. But it consistently lacks it. What I enjoy the most out of this I enjoy more than almost all of Recovery, but Recovery is at least a completely written and more complete(d) album. The joke songs as they are are overabundant sure, but to me the the bigger reason as to why one can't escape the feeling of this album being lopsided is because you can kind of always tell this is where he lost a little bit of faith in music. It's a really intriguing and interesting album however, when it can be reflected as a stance or statement in regards to someone with a certain unusually unreachable level of fame and celebrity, and kind of always has been like that. So it's weird even how Encore is still contributable to his career legacy, and it's crazy how even on some mid days, it still feels (is) more listenable than the weird inverse of this in Revival. |
14 | | Eminem Revival
It's fine if it's switched with Infinite here, but there is a higher peak in some of the songs that Infinite truthfully doesn't really touch. |
15 | | Eminem Infinite
It's pretty kool, but I mean the songs really do sound so similar. |
