02.13.24 | Ege Bamyasi > Tago Mago > Future Days for me, though I feel this is a rare instance where there are no incorrect answers! Iconic trilogy and one of the most momentous string of records in the 20th century (and beyond), really just incredible |

02.13.24 | Future Days > Ege Bamyasi > Tago Mago

02.14.24 | Ahh good to have Future Days Friends show up, welcome. Surprised no-one has gone for 5!
I agree re: Tago, I'm sure I've said this before but for me it largely gets better as it goes. though Augmn has its best moments |

02.15.24 | 1. Tago Mago, 2. Ege Bamyasi, 3. Future Days. Hardest ranking ever. Rest in peace Damo Suzuki. |

02.15.24 | "def feel like 2 should be the rarest order of preference"
i almost went with that 🤭 |
Winesburgohio
02.16.24 | actually it occurs to me that 5 might well have been my Mums preference - i know she was always gutted that she had to sell her copy of Future Days in London (although maybe it's indicative that she kept Tago Mago...). speaking of, I bought a copy of Future Days in Berlin and gave it to the residents of the flat Mum used to reside at, in Brixton. Reunited! Current inhabitants were bemused but promised to keep it. |

02.16.24 | Cool mom you have! Mine listens to ABBA at best. |

02.16.24 | i was a 5 before i became a 6, so 2 does seem like the next step in this evolutionary line 🤔 |

02.17.24 | Picking between Tago Mago and Future Days is very difficult. Tago Mago is maybe less consistent but it floors me just a little more, so I gotta give it the edge.
Tago > Future > Ege |

02.17.24 | Future > tago > ege, though I’ve switched it into every permutation over time. But sure I’ll be first |

02.27.24 | hell yes, i've been waiting for that king's take. just finished a spin of "Limited Edition" and it was surprisingly good!, albeit a bit corny in places maybe |
tectactoe
02.27.24 | oh wow, hadn't even noticed - kinda surprised there's not one other person who prefers them in that order.
EGE is just the leanest/meanest of the bunch for me. every song rolls, grooves, jams, and even the two "longer" tracks feel remarkably tight in the grand scheme of things. TAGO, while still great, in the only one of the three that occasionally meanders; i understand that's by design, of course, but there are definitely distinct points where my interest always starts to flag. that's never the case for EGE or FUTURE DAYS.
still, though, amazing band. |
Trifolium
02.28.24 | "still, though, amazing band."
