| My Band’s Album is Done! | 1 | | Eye of Mensis Echoes From Beneath
Our sophomore album, expect it in May!
https://eyeofmensis.bandcamp.com/album/echoes-from-beneath | 2 | | Eye of Mensis Echoes From Beneath
1. Vomiting Ecstasy (feat. The Chemical Mind)
This song was inspired initially by Where The Slime Live, with its groovy, heavy as fuck chugged lead guitar. But it ended up mixing in a lot of dissonant death metal elements and black gaze stuff.
Not to mention like 2 minutes of guest vocals from Gretchen of The Chemical Mind, who released my favorite Black Metal album of the last decade (That Benign Terror). Lost my mind when she reached out saying she loved my album and would be interested in collaborating, because her album had a massive influence on a lot of this album.
Song is great, and is on Spotify and stuff as a single! | 3 | | Eye of mensis Echoes From Beneath
2. Thorns
This is a completely reworked, expanded, and re-recorded take on our first ever single ‘Wrapped In The Thorns of a Howling Ghost.
It’s now 3 times as heavy, over 12 minutes long, and capitalizes on its massive doom-y, gothic, hellish Celtic Frost / My Dying Bride vibes.
My partner is classically trained and they did additional vocals on this, also got a session musician to do a violin solo. | 4 | | Eye of Mensis Echoes From Beneath
3. I Saw a Photograph
I was listening to a lot of MySpace era Deathcore, and that bled into this a lot. Easily the heaviest song I’ve ever written, nasty, disgusting vibes and great riffs, with the most insane, bizarre breakdown ever at the end. There’s still quite a bit of atmosphere and melody scattered in here, which makes it pretty unique imo | 5 | | Eye of Mensis Echoes From Beneath
4. Nurture The Barbs
A reworking of the gloomy, death / doom demo track from our EP Drowning Circus | 6 | | Eye of Mensis Echoes From Beneath
5. The Hunter
Super fast paced black metal track with some dissonance going on. Really gut wrenching, emotional stuff. This is another single that’s available on Spotify and stuff | 7 | | Eye of Mensis Echoes From Beneath
6. Echoes From Beneath
Utterly gorgeous track, inspired by Silent Hill 2’s Promise. From a songwriting standpoint this is the most mature, dynamic thing I’ve ever written, and it’s probably my favorite on the album | |

04.08.25 | This thing is such an insane jump from Dousing The Flames. It’s 6 tracks, most of which are 8-10 minutes long.
The songwriting is infinitely more focused and fleshed out, with a greater focus on atmosphere and emotion, with greatly improved production and performances across the board. This is less so death grind meets black metal, and more so punishingly heavy death metal with doom elements and some Black metal here and there, and even a disgustingly sludgy deathcore breakdown in one of the songs. along with some melodic lead guitar work and solos.
The next single from the album is called I Saw A Photograph, which was written to be the heaviest song of 2025 and it very well could be, shit sounds insane. | mkmusic1995
04.08.25 | Looking forward to it my friend, enjoyed what I've heard from you guys! | chemicalmarriage
04.08.25 | Are you touring? | Brabiz
04.08.25 | Nah, touring is for posers | Wildcardbitchesss
04.08.25 | sick album art, will def check out your other shit.
“are you touring?”
[2]? | Brabiz
04.08.25 | I’m toying with the idea of playing some shows locally, cuz there are bands in the scene that have reached out. But really, it’s just me and a guitarist I work with periodically. Most of everything is done by myself.
So to play live I’d either have to find musicians around here, or do some Catatonic Youths-ass solo shows which could end up being embarrassing | brickhed
04.08.25 | hey man don't be afraid to do solo shows, just know how to make it good
sometimes less is more
ill check the record later if i remember, I'll give input then | Relinquished
04.08.25 | I’ve seen people do the most as a two piece
you got this | EmoQueen19
04.08.25 | This looks really cool. I'll listen when it's out! | Brabiz
04.09.25 | I definitely want to see what i can do. I think it could be fun to mess around with some live shows and see how it goes. The issue is that i live in buffalo and the scene here is kinda lame imo
I’ll say, the biggest improvement with this, aside from the production in general is that i 4-tracked the guitar.
I only used one guitar track for the first album, and the leap in dynamics and production value is huge from this minor bit of effort.
Also a significant lack of the overbearing guitar effects. Makes me want to remix Dousing The Flames already, and that came out a few months ago. | brickhed
04.09.25 | I totally get a lame music scene. Just try to get word on any local venues and try to go from there. That's what I'm trying to do right now. | Brabiz
04.09.25 | There’s this local industrial artist called Street Cleaver who reached out trying to get me to open for him on his tour, and i was like “dude i wouldn’t even know where to start”
Should just say fuck it and do it. | brickhed
04.09.25 | thats the exact opening that you need
kinda seems that you worry and procrastinate a lot, which does no good if you're doing live shows. |
