| On My Horizon
So these are basically things I'm looking forward to in the near to semi-near future. Some of them are probably embarrassing, but I've spent most of my life embarrassed, so no biggie. | 1 | | Coheed and Cambria Neverender (Children of the Fence Edition)
This will put me into debt far beyond my comprehension, but I mean, come on. My inner Coheed fanboy wouldn't let me sleep if I didn't get ahold of this somehow. | 2 | | As Cities Burn Hell or High Water
Just recently started getting into Come Now Sleep again, and if this keeps going in that direction, should be pretty flippin' sweet. | 3 | | Isis Wavering Radiant
These guys are gonna be at Sonar at the end of May, and tickets are like $14. Throw a new album into the mix, and I'm sold. | 4 | | Poison the Well I/III II/III III/III & Tropic Rot
Apparently I'm one of the few people who actually liked "Versions," so new stuff from this front is exciting. I haven't heard any of the new songs yet, but scuttlebutt seems to be pretty positive. Oh that's right. Scuttlebutt. | 5 | | It Dies Today Lividity
I'm not really as psyched for this one as any of the others, since Sirens was a pretty big letdown. Still, here's hoping they can still salvage their sound. | 6 | | maudlin of the Well Whatever the new fan-funded album is going to be
I didn't actually contribute anything, but I did go through the trouble of hunting down all their past CDs a few months back, which I think qualifies this. | 7 | | sleepmakeswaves Split w/ Tangled Thoughts of You
Already ordered this puppy, "We Sing the Body Electric" is a goodun. | 8 | | Mastodon Crack the Skye
This should be at my house as I type this. Mastodon hasn't let me down yet, and all signs point to this being another consistent slab of ridiculous yet awesome metal. | 9 | | dredg The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion
Another one I'm not really as excited about, my expectations for this are definitely low. But hey, who knows? Maybe dredg will shock me. | 10 | | Grant Morrison The Filth
Kind of not an album, and very out of place on this list. But I've heard very good things about this book, so I might have to pick it up sometime. | |

03.27.09 | Every Dredg fan needs to pray for something miraculous. | BallsToTheWall
03.27.09 | I heard a couple songs from 5 and they were completely shitty. I was sad because Caitliff Choir ruled. So don't get your hopes too much man, unfortunately to say. | natey
03.27.09 | every Dredg fan needs to chill the fuck out. they aren't gods | BlindfoldsAside
03.27.09 | Super list | StreetlightRock
03.27.09 | 7 should rule. | thecheatisnotdead
03.27.09 | Yeah. I'd honestly be surprised if Dredg's new one got anything higher than a 3 out of 5. But I can still delude myself into thinking it'll be better. Same kinda goes for It Dies Today, since I agree with Balls about Caitiff Choir (and their descent after that). | NOTINTHEFACE
03.27.09 | What did you end up paying for the maudlin albums? I'm looking for them myself, and trying to keep it below triple figures can be tricky. | thecheatisnotdead
03.27.09 | I think I got pretty lucky, actually, like around $20 - 25 a pop. But I can't speak for prices these days, since this was almost a year ago. Good luck, though. |
