Recent Blogsearching Digs
blogsearching is nice. heres some albums that are pretty good that ive listened to the past month and will be sure to listen to some more soon |
1 | | Admiral Angry Buster
hard to describe this band but they incorporate some grincore, sludge, and screamo to create their own dirty sound |
2 | | Astroqueen Into Submission
pretty good psychedelic rock/ stoner metal |
3 | | Cancer Death Shall Rise
one of the iconic death metal albums from the early 90's. |
4 | | Caverns Kittens!
this band is incredible. math rock/prog metal/classical piano/chaos. thats prety much their sound. no vocals |
5 | | Centaurus-A Side Effects Expected
surprisingly good tech. death metal |
6 | | Criterion The Dominant
i can thank mr. tyler aka Cocaine for bringing the album up in the forums. one hell of a death metal album right here |
7 | | Dani Siciliano Slappers
a nice electronic pop album with catchy female vocals |
8 | | Dark Forest Aurora Borealis
black metal. whoever put this album on the database spelled the album wrong. |
9 | | Emily Wells The Symphonies: Dreams, Memories & Parties
a brave album done by a talented musician. Wells puts together a blend of electronic, folk, pop, classical, and hip-hop (in a couple songs). |
10 | | Farflung A Wound In Eternity
probably the best space rock ive heard. doesnt get boring like most and it delivers riff after riff |
11 | | Fell Silent The Hidden Words
meshuggah-esque stuff but with more raspier vocals. not bad but the guitars and drumming is a bit too much like meshuggah and it hurts the originality that this band could create |
12 | | Flykkiller Experiments In Violent Light
a dark synth pop/ trip hop group with Pati Yang on vocals |
13 | | Frida Hyv?nen Silence Is Wild
her most recent album that i finally got my hands on. not as good as her previous two albums but i still love her music. excellent piano singer/songwriter |
14 | | From Monument To Masses On Little Known Frequencies
a solid math rock group |
15 | | Hooded Menace Fulfill the Curse
crushing doom/sludge metal with some southern dirtiness added |
16 | | In Dread Response From the Oceanic Graves
a ballsy melo/tech death metal album. some core is heard but overall it is a good listen |
17 | | The Kat Cosm Knightboat
listen to this if you want to relax. ambient/electronic pop with female vocals |
18 | | Leather Nun America Absence of Light
stoner metal that leaves a taste of leather in your mouth. i think this band had to add America at the end of their name since there were a few other bands by the name of Leather Nun |
19 | | Mammoth Mammoth Mammoth Mammoth
a heavy heavy hard rock album. almost metal but not quite. crushing riffs |
20 | | Mortjuri ...Desoulate
quality melo death metal |
21 | | Other Lives Other Lives
very well done acoustic folk |
22 | | Paria The Barnacle Cordious
they say theyre progressive metalcore and i guess ill take their word for it. this is good but they def show signs of developing into a solid band. still too much immaturity in their songwriting. check them out anyways they have potential |
23 | | Pet Pet
Lisa Papineau on vocals (from Big Sir) and Tyler Bates on electric guitar makes for a gem in the mid-90's grunge scene. Lisa's vocals have a Cranberries feel to them but much more raw and aggressive. some of her screams are gut wrenching. the guitars are more along the lines of Smashing Pumpkins |
24 | | Polly Scattergood Polly Scattergood
indie pop album. mostly upbeat, but sometimes she lets out her dark side. wonderful arrangements all over this album |
25 | | Rhino Dead Throne Monarch
sludge metal |
26 | | Robot Lords of Tokyo Whiskey, Blood & Napalm
this band knows how to rock. high octane rock with a southern sound. |
27 | | Rockettothesky Medea
ambient/electronic pop with female vocals. some beautiful stuff on this album |
28 | | The Secret Luce
this album is amazing. a somewhat hidden gem in the metalcore world. |
29 | | Shannon Wright Over the Sun
one of the best female folk singers. she has a great voice. if you like this then i HIGHLY recommend gett her album she did with Yann Tiersen (it combines his modern classical music with some of her songs), its breathtaking |
30 | | The Sorrow Origin of the Storm
the best metalcore album to come out this year so far and it is a beast. incredible guitarwork, intense vocals and rapid fire drumming. some of it sounds like Unearth at times but they in no way are a copycat. one of my favs so far this year |
