More Like Meh-tal...get It?

I started really getting into metal about five years ago, and it really became my genre of choice for about three years, but lately I'm beginning to notice just how little I enjoy it as of late. I still listen to it, I still buy (and seek out) metal albums, I still enjoy talking about it, but the genre as a whole just doesn't do much for me anymore. I'd hate to say it's because my tastes are "maturing" because that throws metal in the "immature" category, which isn't true...to be honest I can't say why. Anyways, non-metal digs as of late. It should be noted that metal here refers to death metal, black metal, and things of that nature and not metalcore.

Cum Laude

Album is so crazy.
3Q and not U
No Kill No Beep Beep

I suppose you could label this math rock, but it isn't completely.
4PSY/OPSogist
Suffused With Static

This kind of blew my mind the first time I listened to it for some reason.
5King Crimson
Discipline

Robert Fripp confounds me with all his odd guitar effects/tunings...
6Kings of Leon
Because Of The Times

Always digging one of their albums at any point in time.
7Good Old War
Only Way to be Alone

It sounds weird to say, but this album is kind of comforting, and there's just something in it's simplistic nature and Simon & Garfunkle-esque vocal harmonies that's really...charming.
8The Appleseed Cast
Sagarmatha
9Idiot Pilot
Strange We Should Meet Here

Has a few really meh songs, but for the most part it's an interesting little album.

Vheissu

Typical Sputnik album, but seriously. It seems like every few months I go back, listen to this album, and get blown away more so than the previous time I listened to it.
