Apple Cider And Pumpkin Pie
1Arcade Fire
Funeral

Despite the fact that I first heard this record in the fall, it's a magnificent example of late winter in it's rich and celebratory atmosphere but most of all this is a record of transition and in my opinion, there is none more mood changing and utterly satisfying than summer into fall.
2Method Man
Tical

The dense, nearly incomprehensible haunting of Tical is a Halloween classic, simply put.

It's all crazy! It's all false! It's all

The epic sounds of both darkness and dreamy joy of this record's adapted fables are most pensive on a chilly walk over crackling sticks and leaves.
4Electric Wizard
Dopethrone

Metal is the perfect genre for fall, as many relate the season to death and destruction in nature. The nature of this album is both of those and also surreal, like the way your body freezes up when you see how bright the stars are in the skies of September.
5Aesop Rock
Labor Days

Moody and political, Labor Days is deprived of life's living colors like the blood red and brown of fall.
6Elliott Smith
From A Basement On The Hill

Lonely and depressed, a final farewell to jubilance like fall's whisking away of summer's intensity.
7Cocteau Twins
Treasure

This album is essentially the free winds of fall and early winter before stone cold sets in.
8Brand New
Daisy

An album conjured from years of life experience, Daisy peers out it's window at the conclusive aura of fall like the end of a long, long book.
9Neutral Milk Hotel
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea

Secular hymns in praise of a girl who suffered through the isolated months of fall and winter.
