Stressed And Shit
Stressed with too much school/work all at once. This is what's been keeping me sane! |
1 | | The Beatles The Beatles
I've probably been "digging this" for way too long now, but it's incredible. Remaster absolutely destroys
and this band is just perfect. At the time that I write this it has 666 ratings so also cause for celebration I
suppose...? |
2 | | Tom Waits Orphans
Another reappearance on my last list or two and still rightfully so. I've almost completed my collection of
his discography and it's all incredible. True genius. This man/album needs more love around here - and
although I don't have albums rated here - this would probably be one of the first "5's" I would hand out. |
3 | | Megadeth Endgame
I am a huge Megadeth fan - but have a differing opinion when it comes to this album. While The System
Has Failed was great - I feel as though United Abominations was a true return to form for Dave - and I
don't know if it was the hype with this or how much I liked UA, but this stands at about the same level as
UA and maybe not as high as some people cracked it out to be around here. Still fucking fantastic though. |
4 | | Every Time I Die New Junk Aesthetic
ETID never let me down. |
5 | | Charles Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus Mingus
Maybe overlooked in his catalog - but probably one of my favorite albums of his. |
6 | | Bruce Springsteen Magic
One of my favorite, if not THE favorite Springsteen albums. I have it all but this one holds a place so close
to my heart. I wish I could've gone to just one of his Giants Stadium shows going on now - would be life
changing! |
7 | | Brand New Daisy
Very cool direction - maybe not groundbreaking but still the band heading in a great direction. |
8 | | Thrice Beggars
See above, haha. |
9 | | Wilco Sky Blue Sky
Wilco (The Album) destroys and this is also quite strong. I got all of their stuff at the same time for the
most part and have been all over the place with these guys - such a consistently superb band. |
10 | | David Bowie Aladdin Sane
Well - I truly went looking for Space Oddity next, but when they did not have that and I saw this for $10 I
decided to just go for it. At some point I'll probably buy most of his work anyway. |
11 | | Pixies Doolittle
This should be the last of repeats from past lists but this album is undeniable! I'm getting more stoked
each time I listen to this album to see them perform the entire thing in November. Their entire
discography could've made this list easily, but I'll try to keep things a little more entertaining. |
12 | | Depeche Mode Violator
I waited way too long to get into these guys because they are awesome. My Bloody Valentine also fall
under this category yet will probably miss this list. |
13 | | ISIS Wavering Radiant
This band is stellar and this album has mad it's way back into my listening. |
14 | | Converge Jane Doe
My Axe To Fall pre-order has been in since day one and I'm sure that the album is going to slay - their
discography is definitely tiding me over for hopefully just another couple weeks. |
15 | | Sonic Youth The Eternal
Seeing these guys two days after the Pixies that will make for one kick ass weekend for sure - this album is
quite good and I need to delve further into their catalog. Daydream, Sister, this, and Rather Ripped are all
great. Planning on Goo and Dirty next. |
