'C'-Section

I wanted to make a random-ass list of bands/artists from my collection, but I didn't want to just start with 'A'. So instead, I used the random number generator at Random.org to choose me a number between 1 and 26. It chose 3...therefore, you guys get every artist in my collection whose name begins with the letter 'C', and random-ass facts about random ass artists strewn about here and there. Huzzah.
1Caesars

I have one single song by these guys: "Jerk It Out." But unlike most people, I discovered the song on SSX 3. Flying high above Peak 2's sunset with this song on for the win.
2Cake
3Candlebox
4The Capitols
5Carbon Leaf

Great indie/folk/bluegrass band, heard "Life Less Ordinary" in a playlist that came on Dell computers long ago (actually the same place I heard Nickel Creek, which is awesome).
6The Cardigans
7Carey Ott
8Carl Douglas

And everybody was Kung-Fu Fighting (Hyah!)
9Cary Brothers
10Cash Cash
11The Casualties
12Catherine
13Cave In
14Cavil At Rest
15Celldweller

Celldweller has become a favorite of mine when it comes to Industrial music. You hear his songs EVERYWHERE (if you ever saw Speed Racer, and it's completely understandable if you didn't, then you might recognize "Switchback").
16Chamillionaire

'Ultimate Victory', though dated, is amazing.
17The Chariot
18Chase Pagan
19Cherry Poppin Daddies

"Zoot Suit Riot...(RIOT!)...throw back a bottle of beer..."
20Chevelle

I saw them live earlier this year with Shinedown, right up at the front...but we were at the the spot where it seemed like every fucking douchebag who was surfing would end up. I don't mind crowdsurfers, I really don't, but when I have to duck every two minutes and can't even enjoy the band because I'm too busy looking back to see when the next one's coming, it makes me want to just smash a beer bottle on their heads as they pass by. But yeah...Chevelle's one of my favorite mainstream hard-rock bands.
21Children 18:3

Saw them live earlier this year, as well. Never heard of them, but they put on an energetic show, so all's well.
22Chimaira
23Chronic Future

One single song by them, but "Time and Time Again" was, at one point, my favorite song ever. Still ain't bad...video's pretty cool, too (same person went on to do the video for Eminem's 'Mosh', and you can see part of this video in that one if you look close enough).
24Chumbawumba

Used to have the c.d., but it was stolen before I ripped it to my computer. Oh, well...still have "Tubthumping," and really, that's all I need ;-)
25Circa Survive

"Act Appalled" is one of those songs influential songs from my musical history. It opened the door to softer songs, and ones with high-pitched singers; without it, I probably wouldn't enjoy Mae as much as I do today.
26Circle Jerks
27Circus! Circus!
28Cirrus

Trance.
29The City Drive

Innocently fun pop-punk.
30Cky

Quite bitter music.
31Clark Country
32Classic Case

They did a split with He Is Legend that I need to get my hands on someway or another.
33The Classic Crime
34Clemek
35Cobra Starship
36Coheed and Cambria

Probably get raped here for not having these guys in my collection.
37Cold

As in "Stupid Girl" Cold. My favorite song by them is "Remedy," though.
38Coldplay

I think I have more full album by these guys than any other artist in the 'C' section of my collection. 'X & Y' is terrible, 'Rush of Blood...' ain't bad, and 'Viva La Vida' is awesome, which apparently means I'm gay. Either way, I like the band, and I need 'Parachutes'. Heh heh...'C'-section...heh heh...
39Colin Hay
40Collective Soul
41Collide
42Common

I think it might be safe to say that Common is my favorite artist of all the ones that start with 'C'. I got 'Be' this year (or perhaps towards the end of last year), and I absolutely fell in love with it. 'Like Water For Chocolate' is equally amazing, and I plan on getting 'Resurrection' one day.
43Conditions
44Consumed

"Heavy Metal Winners" from THPS 2.
45Converge

Fuck this band. Yeah, that's right, I said it: fuck Converge. The only reason I have a song by them ("Black Cloud") is because it was on the 'Punk-O-Rama 10' compilation. I don't mind the song "Jane Doe," but I really, REALLY don't understand the love they get. I just don't. Feel free to listen to this if you want, but it ain't for me.
46Cool Hand Luke
47Coolio

Find me a person who has never heard "Gangsta's Paradise," and I'll see a person who was in a coma from 1993 through the year 2000. "1-2-3-4 (Sumpin' New)" is also a fun listen.
48Copeland
49Corey Crowder
50Counting Crows
51The Coup

The most politically-minded rap group I've ever heard, and as a fan of Epitaph Records and Public Enemy, I've heard a lot of them.
52The Cranberries
53Crash Romeo
54Crazy Town

Go ahead and crucify me for this one, but they're on here purely for 90's nostalgia.
55Creed

See above...except not so much 90's as it was High School.
56Crime In Stereo

A staple for my various punk playlists.
57The Crucified
58Cutting Crew

"I! I just died in your arms tonight! It must've been something you said..."
59Cynic

Thank you, Sputnik.
60Daft Punk

Shit...ran out of 'C's. Oh, well...Daft Punk would be the very first artist for 'D'. They're awesome; I have more albums by these guys than any artist in the 'C''s, so yeah. Good stuff.
