SteelErectedb4you8er 02.13.10	Each album has a different mood. So, it depends on what you are feeling. Adrenaline is raw and in your face, but has a lot of good energy and songs on it. Around the Fur is for the most part straight forward metal/rock album with well written songs...it is a good mix of heavy and melody. White Pony is a beautiful album, very melodic, it has a couple heavy songs, but it is more of a chill album. Deftones is a combination of Around the Fur and White Pony if they had sex. Saturday Night Wrist is more of continuation of where White Pony left off. I love em all personally.
Inveigh 02.15.10	It's really hard to decide about Deftones albums (especially if you're just getting into them). 2 and 5 are my least favorites (that being said, they're both 4's) but I think 2 could be a good starting point. Adrenaline was the first one I got (because I'm old and it was the only one that was out haha), but I think self-titled might be the best overall representation of their sound. It's also my second-favorite record by them (after White Pony of course). If I got all detailed on ya (which I will), I'd say go in this order: Deftones Around the Fur White Pony Adrenaline Saturday Night Wrist B-Sides & Rarities is also really good.

Captain North 02.16.10	Around The Fur was actually the last album of theirs I got. Third best easily. But honestly, any order will do, as long as you don't give up if you don't happen to like the first one you get.

Yesterday someone suggested the Deftones to me on my list, so I read up on them and went and got Around the Fur today, and fuck, it's hard-hitting, heavily layered and epicly structured. Looks like there are some awesome bands out there I've yet to uncover. Anyway, point is, get Around the Fur. Do yourself a big favour.
