eternium: Most Consistent Bands

jesusjuice1179 04.08.10	Tool is maybe consistent at sucking, and Mastodon changes their sound so much that's it's ridiculously hard to keep up with them, and my opinion of them changes so often from good to bad

eternium 04.08.10	Mastodon is consistent on quality. I don't care for Brand New's first album and not so much for Deja Entendu either, as much as I LOVE TDAGARIM and Daisy. Every Time I Die has a couple of good albums, but I don't care for most.
Parallels 04.08.10	Dream Theater is probably the most consistent and most non-consistent band ever at the same time. all their albums are gold to the true fans but the psuedo-fans always are turned off by the next album.

Masochist 04.08.10	Good list, absolutely, even if I'm not a fan of some of these bands. Surprised that Between The Buried And Me aren't on here. Personally, I'd add Porcupine Tree.

eternium 04.08.10	I love AIC, but they only had three full albums with Layne, then Black Gives Way to Blue like fifteen years later. So, drugs kinda kept the band from being consistent.
Nagrarok 04.08.10	I quoth: 'All of these bands have had four albums or more, all of which are of great quality.' The three with Layne were all great, s/t being the weakest but still making the mark, and BGWB was a fantastic comeback. Let's not forget the marvellous Unplugged either.

FeralMemories 04.08.10	I think Immolation has to be the most consistant death metal band, hands down. The Ocean is always consistant as well.
eternium 04.08.10	But the fifteen years between self-titled and BGWTB is what ruins is. I do love the Unplugged. Hell, Alice in Chains is probably my favorite of the early '90s Seattle bands.

eternium 04.08.10	I am happy. Black Gives Way to Blue is an amazing record and I was extremely skeptical before I heard it. If The Ocean's new albums are what I expect them to be, they may be one of the most consistent bands ever.

eternium 04.08.10	The Mars Volta is overrated, Animal Collective is decent at the most, Manchester Orchestra is good from what I've heard, and haven't listened to The Dear Hunter.
Niceinvader 04.08.10	ahh they may be overrated but they make some pretty damn consistent music. Oh and portugal the man too because of the amount of music thye've put out over a short period of time. though i've never really got into them.
couldwinarabbit 04.08.10	"Tool is maybe consistent at sucking" Good Call. Converge and Opeth are the only bands on here with stellar releases, and that's only One or Two albums for each. Missing: Aphex Twin, Radiohead, and Fugazi.
eternium 04.08.10	I mentioned in the comments earlier that I should have put Radiohead. I've only listened to early Fugazi (which is awesome) and no Aphex Twin.

eternium 04.08.10	I love 65daysofstatic. Daft Punk is too repetitive and annoying for me, though I think Justice is awesome. Never listened to Portishead much, especially since Massive Attack is the only real trip-hop I listen to.

Inveigh 04.08.10	pretty good list, although I wouldn't say 5 or 6 are all that consistent. I don't know much about 7 or 8, but other than that I agree.
