A-may-zing

Just a list of the albums I'm excited for in May.
1Deftones
Diamond Eyes

Unlike most people, I haven't heard anything other than the single off of this. But if that, the album art, and the reviews already posted are any indication, it should be amazing.
2Mike Patton
Mondo Cane

It's Mike Patton! Doing old Italian songs! What's not to like? (Other than Mike Patton, sometimes...)
3As I Lay Dying
The Powerless Rise

One of the more consistent survivors of the metalcore trend. And please flame me with overly semantic-driven details about what does and does not constitute metalcore. Please.
4The Dead Weather
Sea of Cowards

Pretty impressive, considering how recently their debut came out. Also, concerning. But they seem to have a good handle on what they do.
5The National
High Violet

I've only heard The Boxer from these guys, but I enjoyed that. Also, Sufjan Stevens makes an appearance, which can only lead to great things.
6 Cynic
Re-Traced

Not really looking to have my mind blown by this, but should be interesting. And Wheels within Wheels is a pretty amazing song live, so...
7Hammock
Chasing After Shadows...Living with the Ghosts

Bummed that this got bumped back from March, but anything from Hammock is worth the wait.
8 The Postman Syndrome
God Relieve Our Grief: A Mausoleum of Stillborn Demos

No explanation necessary.
9Rosetta
A Determinism of Morality

I am flabbergasted at how consistent this band is. The new songs seem to keep the quality at at the same staggering height.
10 Anathema
We're Here Because We're Here

Abysmal album name, but their music tends to be remarkable.
