Angel Dust

Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To
One of the best post-rock albums I've ever heard, and probably one of the best albums period. Granted, some of the ambient sections go on for a bit too long, but it all adds to the experience, which is exactly what this album is: an experience. | | 6 |  | Mr. Bungle

This is really just a fantastic record. All the songs live their own lives but they somehow all come together in the perfect way. This album is another grower, similar to the way Angel Dust is (which make sense, considering Mike Patton is the lead vocalist on both albums). | | 7 | | NOFX

This album is just so entertaining that I couldn't not give it a 5. Two discs, featuring rare NOFX tracks (plus a never before released one). A must have for any NOFX fan. Hilarious liner notes too. | | 8 |  | Opeth
Blackwater Park

Still Life
A darker album than Blackwater Park (in some parts, anyway) but just as good, if not better, than it. A concept album set in medieval times, the album does have that medieval feel to it at points but contains some of the best songs Opeth has ever done. | | 10 |  | Praxis
Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis)
A very bizarre and unpredictable album, mixing funk, metal, ambient dub, jazz, and other genres. The transitions can be jarring (but are that way on purpose). Superb listen, the only letdown being the far too long ending track. | |
