| Bands That Need More Attention
I believe that these bands are brilliant, and underground for some reason. | | 1 | Syzygy
In 15 years, this band from Ohio has managed to create 3 Albums. Realms of Eternity is an amazing piece, full of everything prog rock needs. Brilliant guitar, excellent bass and keyboards and awesome drumming. Its not spazzy, or wanky just high class prog rock. | | 2 | Threshold
A non-wanky Progressive Metal band. Critical Mass and Hypothetical are their best attempts. It has no 5 minute guitar solos, no over the top drumming, but still remains a brilliant metal band. | | 3 | Bigelf
An L.A space rock band, think King Crimson, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and slap them all in a blender, and you get this keyboard lead band. | | 4 | Transatlantic
A 'prog-supergroup' similar to the likes of Liquid Tension Experiment. This is a more prog rock type of band, that are rather good at releasing long songs that are not repetitive, like the 72 minute Whirlwind Album/Song. | | 5 | Savatage
Brilliant Progressive/Power Metal band. Streets is an impressive rock opera and their other works are all really good. They eventually became the trans-siberian orchestra. | |
