07.04.10 | "The Misfits are awesome."
That's dubious. They were great in the late 70's/early 80's, but they've been shit for the vast majority of their career. Walk Among Us and Static Age are where it's at. |
TheBaneofSputnik
07.04.10 | Walk Among Us is a classic, and yeah, it's sad how they ended up, because most of their albums are definitely not worth listening to. However, when they decide to go out and perform, I'm there every time. Saw them with Doyle a couple years back. I was surprised he even decided to tour with them, considering all the hate between him and Only. It's still weird to me that Cadena is a member of them now, considering he was apart of Black Flag and Red Kross. |
Satellite
07.04.10 | Yeah, I've never seen them live. BUT I've seen more bands cover Misfits songs live than any other band (off the top of my head: The Lawrence Arms did Skulls, Alkaline Trio and Pennywise did Astro Zombies, NOFX did Last Caress, Dead to Me did Hybrid Moments).
btw Bane, you're pit, right? |
TheBaneofSputnik
07.04.10 | Yes, I am Pit.
Surprisingly, the best cover I ever heard live was by A7X(in the days of Waking the Fallen), which they then followed up with their best Misfits impersonation "Darnkess Surrounding" |
