Lyrically, they are lacking, along with a poor harsh vocal delivery but I find Tommy's cleans soothing and fitting where they are used. Even with substandard vocals, they're one of my favorite bands because they merge interesting compositional structures with intricate instrumental interplay that keeps (me, at least) engaged with the music. Anyone who can't appreciate a band for what they are needs to broaden their horizons and chill with the hate. Just because you aren't into their style doesn't mean they are 'bad' (I'm looking at you, Ire and Zeno). |
