Bands I've Seen Live Since Mid October Of 09.
Ive seen the following bands in connecticut since october. some
great, some good, some forgettable. |
1 | Crime in Stereo
They were just ok. I went to this show just for Glassjaw so I was spacing
out during their set. |
2 | Glassjaw
This is my band. MY BAND. Put on a great show, just wished they played
some more ETYEWTKAS material but thats ok. Daryl |
3 | Brand New
I'm sure they would've sounded good if I could hear them over the thirteen
and fourteen year old girls screaming all the lyrics to there songs... |
4 | Bad Rabbits
Didn't hold my attention |
5 | The Young Veins
I was getting mad at this point, waiting for Foxy Shazam to play |
6 | Foxy Shazam
Best show I've ever seen. I yelled out "Eric, eat a cigarette" and he did.
And also, I have a piece of his shirt and got a signature from the pianist on
my basketball that I brought. "NO DON'T SHOOT" |
7 | Hooray for Earth
These guys were really cool actually. Pretty unknown band but they kinda
sound like Animal Collective at times. Check em out. |
8 | Surfer Blood
These guys put on a great show despite some sound check problems.
Played nearly all of Astro Coast and it was really really fun. |
9 | Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Musically, they sounded good and tight. They seem to have their shit
together, but didn't hold my attention. |
10 | The Dig
They seem to have potential, but I got to their set kind of late so I didn't
hear much. |
11 | Bad Veins
This duo is amazing. It was a thrice concert and they were the second
opening band and in my opinion, they blew Thrice away. So good. |
12 | Kevin Devine
Another great opening band for Thrice. I really enjoyed Kev Dev. I noticed
when he screams, he looks like timmy from south park haha |
13 | Thrice
Thrice put on a good show. At times they seemed rushed but it was
definetely money well spent.

this was pretty epic. |
14 | Bomb the Music Industry!
These guys were tons of fun. Hign energy, blaring horns and a rowdy
crowd. Awesome. Opened for Hallelujah the Hills and Titus Andronicus |
15 | Hallelujah the Hills
These guys were cool also. Probably should've opened for BTMI! and Titus
Andronicus since they have softer material. Would've warmed up the crowd
better than BTMI! which took the crowd completely off guard haha. |
16 | Titus Andronicus
If you have even the slightest chance of seeing these guys, do it! They put
on an amazing show. They absolutely blew HTH and BTMI! away. Definetely
obtain their newest LP "The Monitor"! |
