08.23.10 | "The action scenes were well done, especially when the big black guy cam around the corner with the auto shot gun. Other than that, no story, no good acting, alot of terrible cheesy lines." how did you not expect this, they weren't even bullshitting with the press releases, they actually hyped it up as exactly that |
geng
08.23.10 | Expendable is worth seeing for a) the scene with Arnie, Sly and Willis aka the Holy Trinity of action films and b) answering the eternal question of who would win in a fight between Randy Couture and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Plus some of the violence is hilariously OTT. |
EuphoricDysphoria81
08.23.10 | Yeah, that should have been expected. |

08.23.10 | 2 is great. Been meaning to get 1 for a real long time, never got around to buying it. Movie looks terrible. |

08.23.10 | It's a deliberate throwback to 80s/90s macho-ness. Anyone with half a braincell and hair on their balls would know this. |

08.23.10 | So in other words Im going to love it. |

08.23.10 | you don't pay dolph lundgren to act, you pay dolph lundgren to destroy |

08.23.10 | I saw it coming. The movie really looked to be all about action and who was starring in it. |
geng
08.23.10 | There is one relatively well acted scene when Mickey Rourke does a monologue. |
thecheatisnotdead
08.23.10 | Mindless manslaughter is what I wanted and got. But I do think that Mickey Rourke's monologue in that one scene was ridiculously out-of-place with the rest of the movie, if only because it displayed actual acting chops. |
Gmork89
08.23.10 | I thought the movie was decent all around, a lot more depth than most recent action movies. |
geng
08.23.10 | It was also quite refreshing to have a right-wing American as the bad guy rather than a Marxist Mexican like the trailer suggested, or some Arab terrorist group. |

08.23.10 | So in other words I'm going to love it. (2)
It's pretty ridiculous to criticize this type of movie for plot, it's just a fun action movie with a bunch of death and explosions. If you honestly think a movie with Sly Stallone, Jet Li, and Jason Statham is going to have a great story you're going in with the wrong expectations. |

"It was also quite refreshing to have a right-wing American as the bad guy rather than a Marxist Mexican like the trailer suggested, or some Arab terrorist group."
