Things I Don't Like In Music
1Heavy Reverbed Vocals

A major flaw in the new indie-nu-folk-beardedhippiebullshit movement is the attempt to make the listener feel like they're in the meadow or some lame-ass forest they'll layer the vocalists voice with a reverb that makes them sound like they're 300000 miles away. Like I really give a shit if your stupid song about mountain goats and fucking fawns should actually sound like you're singing it from the mountains. I just wanna hear the voice, and I can't, it sounds like you're yelling at me from across a stupid canyon or something. Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses are the some top culprits of this nonsense, and who knows maybe its the producers fault, but its corny and I hate it and you should too.
2When metalcore bands add techno beats

The fuck is this about? Underoath did it decently, but even then I had my eyebrow raised. Whenever I hear it in any new band I think to myself "I listened to this shit for some evil and darkness shit, not fucking seizure inducing strobe light jams. "
3Stupid guitar tapping riffs that aren't cool sounding

Don't get me wrong, tapping is sweet if its done right. Dragonforce does it and I feel like I'm winning at a really kickass vidja game or something. But stupid ones like Lip Gloss and Black by Atreyu make it sound like they just had that dude at guitar center with the stinky long black hair show them a couple "cool guitar tricks!" I don't even like Thunderstruck by AC/DC just because it sounds like one of those riffs.
4When I don't like something and everyone else does

New Arcade Fire album = weak. A great majority of Electronic music = also weak. Yearbook by Hanson = kickass song. Most people would disagree with everything I just said, and that just proves that everyone's ill informed and wrong about many things involving opinions.
5Bad songs by really good bands

Despite what anyone will tell me Back in the U.S.S.R. has gotta be one of the worst songs I've ever heard in my entire life. Beach Baby by Bon Iver, song makes me wanna stick q-tips too far into my ears. It makes me wonder why the hell these bands would do an entirely anthology of kick ass songs and then go and make one that would make me want to punch my best friend in the sternum.
