fr33convict
10.21.10 | If 1 has a bad album and 1 ok album then how can they be the most consistent band ever? |
couldwinarabbit
10.21.10 | the avalanches are the most conistant band of all time.
About the whole radiohead thing. I find it far easier to enjoy a band's discography that started out mediocre and constantly improved as opposed to one that started off great and went downhill. |
fr33convict
10.21.10 | I'll agree that's more enjoyable but they still wouldn't be the most consistent. |
couldwinarabbit
10.21.10 | well in a truly mathematical sense you are right. But think of a band like Metallica or Oasis. There early stuff was great. Then they went completely downhill, sold out and suck now. I look at that in a far more negative way than someone like Neil Young who would have more bad albums but they are spread out and they were failed attempts at creativity not selling out. |
geng
10.21.10 | You could argue that St Anger was a failed attempt at creativity rather than selling out. Let's face it, there wasn't much more Metallica could do to sell out. |
chaseguitar
10.21.10 | 5 should be 1. :) |

10.21.10 | The National? |

10.21.10 | "Note they must have at least 3 albums and not have a bunch of shit."
One out of two ain't bad. |
Baphomet
10.21.10 | Missing so much... but half these choices aren't bad. |
couldwinarabbit
10.22.10 | only ten spots.
I love the national a lot but they have 2 medicore albums 1 good album and 2 OMFG I can't believe music can be this good albums...actually they could be here.
I am not the Biggest Pink Floyd fan. I mean they are obvious one of the best/ most influencial bands of all time and I adore WYWH but I find a lot of their stuff to be "meh." I can totally see how they could be someones favourite band ever though. |
MUNGOLOID
10.24.10 | good to see some true love for sonic youth. |

10.24.10 | The Bends is the 2nd best Radiohead album, people need to get off Kid A's dick for a change. |
couldwinarabbit
10.24.10 | The Bends and pablo honey only still get attention because Radiohead made them. |
