11.12.10 | I was listening to Idle Moments recently, not bad at all. I have good memories of Brilliant Corners I think too. As with all genres though I tend to think some things are a bit overhyped. |

11.12.10 | Dave Holland, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Allen Toussaint, Django Reinhardt, Oscar Peterson, Chick Corea, Charles Mingus, Pat Metheny, Brad Mehldau (sp?), Original Dixieland Jazz Band, Nimmons N' Nine, Chicago Underground Duo (trio, quartet, orchestra), Danilo Perez, Vijay Iyer, Aaron Parks, Chris Porter, Keith Jarret (!!!!), John Zorn, Lee Konitz, John Abercrombie, Bill Frisell, Ornette Colemen, Ulf Wakenius, Duke Ellington... etc. etc.
You're missing a lot of big ones, especially Mingus, Coleman, Holland, Jarrett and Peterson. This is also a fairly narrow area of jazz you've represented here |

11.12.10 | To thebhoy.
These are my favorites. I do not do lists larger than 10. I will check some artists you mention in the list that I do not recognize. You seem more of a specialist than me in this field. |

11.12.10 | nice list, I prefer In A Silent Way to Kind of Blue though.
