12.04.10 | Holy shit dude | Spec
12.04.10 | haha yep. An albums list lets you edit the descriptions so it had to be done. | Crimson Death
12.04.10 | "All you need is love, love. Love is all you need." How is this in any way 'great'? Yeah I understand the band was 'The Greatest Band of All Time". But the lyrics themselves sound like they belong on a 14 year old girl's Facebook status. Some of the others on the top 10 are pretty good though. List looks like it took some time, I praise you on that. | seifer
12.04.10 | this is superb
how much time did this take u? | Spec
12.04.10 | A few hours to put together. Then three tries to actually post the list. | Spec
12.04.10 | Love is all you need made such a huge impact that spawned past just the world of music. The lyrics are so simple yet so powerful.
To be fair though by today's standards, they don't look as good. | Spec
12.04.10 | And come on man, a fourteen year old girls status would say the opposite! Something like "love just hurts you so who needs it." | adhoc
12.04.10 | I jizzed for 1 | Crimson Death
12.04.10 | "Love is all you need made such a huge impact that spawned past just the world of music. The lyrics are so simple yet so powerful.
To be fair though by today's standards, they don't look as good."
Yeah, I get the impact it may have made. But it seems cheesy and also untrue, or maybe I am dissecting it too much and perhaps it's because I personally disagree with it. Don't get me wrong though, I like my fair share of cheesy love songs, I just wouldn't give them credit for having great lyrics.
"And come on man, a fourteen year old girls status would say the opposite! Something like "love just hurts you so who needs it."
A very valid point, that might be the more common one! But I'd say most of them probably cycle between the 2 ends. | Spec
12.04.10 | I'll have to agree. | PurpleDrank
12.04.10 | love the top 5 here | Crimson Death
12.04.10 | Hey, I noticed you don't have any Death albums ranked. Have you ever checked out Chuck Schuldiner's lyrics? The final 4 albums to be exact. Hard to pick a single example, but this is a good one from Bite the Pain.
"Not a drop of blood is drawn
but you know how it bleeds
beware of the sharp edged weapon
called human being"
| Aids

I had a love so pure
I had to leave her behind.
I never told her why
Did I ever tell myself why?
(Woolen Blankets)
Some Choices do suck balls(Substitute? ACDC? Odd Springsteen qoutes?) but overall I like the List. | xScottySevenfoldx

OOOH, I THINK I'M GONNA BE SICK. | Masochist
11.28.12 | Guess I missed this list, too. #6 is my favorite Bob Dylan song, and you could probably fill this whole list with lyrics by the guy. Gives me the urge to do this list myself....>_> | Winsomniac
11.29.12 | HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
SEXY LADYYYYYYYYYYYY!
-PSY, Professional crazy genius fuck | thegrizz

10.31.14 | Love, love this list! But, I would add Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car." Tge lyrics are sick!
"So remember when we were driving driving in your car
Speed so fast I felt like I was drunk
City lights lay out before us
And your arm felt nice wrapped 'round my shoulder
And I had a feeling that I belonged
I had a feeling I could be someone, be someone, be someone..." | ArsMoriendi
10.31.14 | "Begin The Begin" by R.E.M. is amazing, agreed | Masochist

02.25.15 | "You'll never watch your life slide out of view, and dance and drink and screw because there's nothing else to do" | jzzs2222
06.14.15 | There are other songs by Fogleberg that I would have chosen, like the lyrics from
"Make Love Stay," or "Longer Than"
Edwin Starr's "War, what is it good for? Absolutely nothin'"
Words from John Lennon's "Imagine" would have been nice, Or George Harrison's
"All Things Must Pass." Or something from the Moody Blues first four albums:
"Cold hearted orb that rules the night, removes the colors from our sight, but we
decide which is right, and which is an illusion." This is still a lyric for our time.
Written during the Vietnam War, it can apply to Vietnam in Iraq and all wars of superiority fought for fictitious reasons. We think of our "civilized world" as so far in advance, yet we still act like Beowulf, using oil for our spoils--just sayin...so I guess I'll have to dust my own broom | argonaut
06.14.15 | This list seems pretty impossible to make, plenty of killer choices though. | Subhumanist
10.10.15 | Bad Religion - prove it
