When I listen to LD for example (to appease the fact that you adore them winnie) I feel like I need to digest their work, and pick shit out. Stuff like broadway and all of that is just really catchy, with fun tempos and shit, so it's just easier to get into.
PinkBlackberry 12.08.10	I didn't say that they were old and out dated, but some people really are more into the Post-Hardcore that is , in your essence closer to more of a poppy type of post-hardcore. I'm not trying to call those down, I love all of them. But I think the easier digested the bands are, the better it is for the person to get hooked, THEN they go looking for these bands. It's a matter of opinion, whether or not you agree is your deal.

Random story time: I had been holding in gas all day at work(gym) and I was using the bioelectrical impedance (body fat % test) handheld device, and I was holding it out and this trainer chick comes by playfully and bumps into me, her elbow to the side of my abdomen as she walked behind me. Well, I unleashed hell from my nether regions right onto her. I yelled in that fake pain sort of way hoping maybe it covered the sound. It didn't work.

I could see her doing something just like that. I was a bit of a douche, I would take the big chalk duster full of yellow chalk and smack it on her chair before she walked into class. The chairs were a yellowy color so you couldn't see the chalk dust. She'd get up in the middle of class and walk around and it would look like someone spanked her ass with a chalk duster. I got bored of doing it after a few weeks. She never once noticed, despite all the lols every time she'd stand up.

Crimson Death 12.09.10	I'm really digging Emery. EasternLight, that track was pretty good too. I'll have to get around to more, I'll even give ATD-I another whirl. I don't agree on 'on key being catchier, but not necessarily better' if that's what someone was trying to say. Slayer is catchy and has mainstream popularity, but out of key. Opeth does not have mainstream popularity, and aren't exactly catchy with their 10 minute tracks, but are very much on key. I just think it produces a better sound when everything is done on key. The occasional dissonance is cool and all, but I really appreciate the effort it takes to write good/complex music that is on key. I don't think most people can tell if someone is singing out of key as long as they sound like they have a good singing voice anyway, so it wouldn't matter to them.
