Idigs

Ive been so out of the loop with this site. Ive missed it, and I miss writing but this writer's block is wreaking havoc. Ive got this great idea for a review of "Damnation" but I cant get past the second paragraph. Ive got some recent digs...comment away!
1Faith No More
The Real Thing

Just posted a list the other day on a fnm mix i made for somebody and the people on here made it clear I didnt put enough of this album on it. Its not my favorite by them, but this band can do no wrong in my eyes.
2Opeth
Damnation

Like I said, Ive got a great idea for a review for this album but cant put it into words. Lets just say I hooked up with a girl and all I wanted to do was listen to this. Errr...this could be Opeth's best, but Im not so sure.
3Pete Rock
Petestrumentals

I love Pete Rock's production and a good friend hipped me to this here album. Very good, if youre into martini bars and girls that dress sexy.
4Miles Davis
Bitches Brew

ALWAYS jammin Miles.
5DJ Shadow
Preemptive Strike

DJ Shadow, youve been hiding and I dont like it. We need a new album now, and not something like The Outsider either.
6Yes
Close to the Edge

Title track is amazing. Lyrically, its a bit absurd but wonderful. Ive always thought it was about drug addiction, and the willingness to get clean but who knows?
7The Clash
Sandinista!

I appreciate the amount of music, but it doesnt mean its always great. If they trimmed this sucker down and got rid of the bullshit, I feel it would mop the floor with London Calling. "Charlie Dont Surf", anyone?
8Helmet
Betty

Production-wise, this album smokes. The drums are HUGE as are the riffs. Milquetoast has one of the best grooves put to tape despite how simple it is.
9Kyuss
Welcome to Sky Valley

"Demon Cleaner" is dedicated to a girl I know who fell in love with Heroin and passed out in front of the mall.
10 Funkadelic
Let's Take It to the Stage

Cant have a list without plugging the grossly underrated Funkadelic. If youve never listened to Funkadelic (or Parliament for that matter), you are missing out. Rich harmonies, funny lyrics, rippin guitars and Geroge Clinton. Isnt that enough convincing? Downloading is fun and easy.
