02.03.11 | Luongo with the shutout, my boy Ryan Kesler scored goals #29 and 30 (his previous career high was 25 last year) and top prospect Cody Hodgson scored his first career NHL goal in only his second game. Life is good for Canucks fans right now. I can feel it, this is our year O_O |

Aids
02.03.11 | Canucks are everyone's team it seems, did you see the game? Twice as many Vancouver fans as Phoenix fans and it was in Phoenix.
acorn, Lighting look awesome as well, but they lack the depth to go deep in the playoffs, although their new goaltender has been lights out of late, I think Vancouver will meet Philly or Pittsburgh in the finals. |
Scoot
02.03.11 | nah man, I actually live in Vancouver and have watched them for 10+ years
philly is the only team from the east I can see matching them |

02.03.11 | nah they wont even make the playoffs, and if they do we'll either get them first round or they'll be eliminated by someone else. honestly, right now, I'm not even worried about Detroit. Philadelphia is the only team that legitimately scares me but we won't even have to play them until the finals. and we beat them, what, 6-2 earlier this year? |
Aids
02.03.11 | conernen, GOALIE FIGHT SERIOUSLY? that's why Fleury was grinning like a little bitch at Johnston as he walked to the dressing room. man I gotta hit TSN later tonight. highlights, ftw |

02.03.11 | yah true, obviously the playoffs will be much tighter. but if we can win home ice through the conference finals, we're looking pretty solid. even with key injuries. |
TomArnoldsArmpit
02.03.11 | Canadians don't know how to ride a mechanical bull. Or, they're pussies, and afraid of falling head first on the soft, astrojump padding that surrounds the ring. Either way. |

02.03.11 | we are afraid of being bad in hockey and getting bad injuries ... i wont fully shittalk until we win anything though, aids |

02.03.11 | saying that a group of people don't know how to ride a mechanical bull is not as much of an insult as you think it is. and, for the record, I bet Alberta hockey fans rule at that shit. But I mean, they suck so there you go. |

Irving, I feel for you man. I used to love the Sens when I was a kid (my older sister was born there) and they were really good for a while but never got it done. I think they'll be making some huge moves before the trade deadline.
American Football < nearly every other sport. especially actual football |

TomArnoldsArmpit
02.03.11 | By "srs business", you must mean how you reacted to when I made an off the cuff comment aboot canadians not being able to ride a bull. I would re-evaluate your reaction, and stop bitching about people making a joke about your username. You chose to make an attention-grabbing alias, and now you're dealing with it. I love you. I'm sorry you're 16. |
Aids
02.03.11 | haha yah I know exactly what you mean. I was at the game against the Flames (bs call in the shootout, Calgary won) and all the real fans were in the shitty seats with us. the view is fine though, I almost don't even mind |

Aids
02.03.11 | the first one, not the mess that follows |
TomArnoldsArmpit
02.03.11 | But the second one is even more ironic and true than the first one! I think I like you, Aids. Let's drop all this petty bullshit, and just agree that hockey (as a whole) rules. It is a real man's sport. NFL players are made up of (a majority) of meatheads. It takes a real bad motherfucker to be a defenseman on a pro hockey team. |
Aids
02.03.11 | yah I used to really really hate football and this year I've kind of come around on it a bit. like, this is the first superbowl that I've actually wanted a specific team to win. |
couldwinarabbit
02.03.11 | they have the 2nd most "talented" team in the NHL (Lightning have the most) and fuck the Sedin's are amazing. Would really love to see them against the Canadians (people are going to say them making it is unrealistic but they are doing damn well this year and as we all know they are the best play-off team in the NHL) against the Cannucks. |
Irving
02.03.11 | LOL I'm glad you can understand my pain Aids. It's just...this is my last year in Canada (I'm an international student) and I was so hoping for the Sens to make the playoffs again. Last year's quarterfinal run (where Ottawa lost to the Pens in 6) was my first experience of playoff hockey, and it was INCREDIBLE. Sadly it'll probably end up being my one and only playoff game experience, so big sigh lol. |
Jash
02.03.11 | List is full of the same thing the Canucks are full with. Btw Denise gets to see Trentemoller live in Miama at some huge electro-music fest, I'm pree jealous |
TomArnoldsArmpit
02.03.11 | The superbowl has become somewhat diluted. The best games are usually in the playoffs leading up to the superbowl. This one, however, looks to be pretty good. I hope Harrison gets a fine based on a hit towards Rodgers, and Rodgers steps up and beats the Steelers in OT. Roethlisberger deserves to be defeated in the superbowl, and Rodgers deserves a win. |
Jash
02.03.11 | Also on a sidenote, aids I'm sorry but real Canadians only pay attention to the CFL thank you very much |
TomArnoldsArmpit

more punt returns which are arguably the most exciting part of American Football |

02.03.11 | 2 minute drill wins over whatever the fuck you're talking about. Special teams? Get real. |
Jash
02.03.11 | 3 downs > 4 downs, longer field > shorter field, cfl overtime > NFL overtime
I could go on, but the NFL is such a francise now the CFL will never get as much attention |

Aids
02.03.11 | "they have the 2nd most "talented" team in the NHL (Lightning have the most) and fuck the Sedin's are amazing"
no they're more talented than the Lightning this year. You're forgetting about Ryan Kesler who will almost certainly win the Selke (I think that's it, the defensive forward one). Plus we have speed right down to our fourth line, whereas the Lightning are only good because they have one of the best lines in the NHL (Stamkos + St. Louis = unstoppable); they lack the depth to do anything in the playoffs. Also, we have probably the most underrated defense in the league, at least in terms of talent. Dan Hamuis and Keith Ballard are the only two skaters in the league capable of delivering a hip check with as much precision as they do. |
8bit
02.04.11 | Tampa Bay has depth for miles man. |
Apollo
02.04.11 | Canucks are gonna win Stanley Cup this year. Ah well its not the Leafs but a Canadian team will do. |
Aids
02.04.11 | "Tampa Bay has depth for miles man." not really. they have a decent amount of depth but nothing comparable to Vancouver. They were getting scored on 5 or 6 times in pretty much every game before the new guy came in (his name escapes me right now). the only reason they win games is because they can score goals like nobody's business |
8bit
02.04.11 | I agree with you on their lack of skill in goal tending throughout the first half of the season, but now that they've picked up veteran goaltender Dwayne Roloson (who carried that Oilers to the Stanley Cup Finals before being injured in like game 7 LOL) from the Islanders, they're on pace for an amazing second half. He's play some odd twelve games for them since they've picked him up, and he's won eight, four of those wins shutouts. Although I can't say Tampa Bay and Vancouver have the same depth, Tampa Bay definitely have the experience in the play-offs to carry the team to the finals, with the only competition in the East being Philadelphia. I'm expecting Tampa Bay to make some moves before the trade deadline to amp up their defense, and Vancouver will probably stay pretty quiet when it comes to the that date. These teams will make it far in the playoffs, but because of Tampa Bay's veteran > Vancouver's outings for the past 2 post-seasons, the Lightning will win if they do meet in the Stanley Cup Finals. |
