Twelve Foot Ninja, Delusion Twin, QOTSA - Heavy, weird and riff-based rock (progressive in parts)
Miles Davis, Captain Beefheart - Jazz (free jazz in Kind of Blue), a bit indie, a bit bluesy.
The Chemical Brothers, The Presets - Seriously awesome electronica, worth a look for fans of those other bands as well.
I'm sort of realising now that I should have put Justice on this list. Fucking ruuuules!
