jefflebowski 10.02.11	lol at Radiohead on the list. For recs, try ornette coleman - the shape of jazz to come. It gets progressively weirder from there. some of Steve Reich's early stuff is pretty out there. Autechre - Confield, Miles Davis - On The Corner, and late period Schoenberg spring to mind

ShadowAmI 10.03.11	thanks all for recommendations. zxlkho, for some reason i don't like bath as much as their other albums. to those that seem to care, i'm sorry if my definition of avant garde doesn't line up with your own. by avant garde i just meant excessively artistic or experimental.
