americanidiot
07.13.07 | no i meant bands that are similar to those...those are my fav bands already |
Two-Headed Boy
07.13.07 | 1. Faith No more
3. Ehhh Deftones
7. Sunny Day Real Estate, but only if you like Colour and the Shape. |
MrKite
07.13.07 | For Green Day try Energy by Operation Ivy or Something by the Minutemen. |
tom79
07.13.07 | I wouldn't say Green Day sounds like them... |
wakeupdead
07.13.07 | Rise Against, Triumph, and Tool are all great bands |

MrKite
07.13.07 | By the way, that was a reply to Tommy Gun up there.. |
tribestros
07.13.07 | 1. If you like the Peppers, listen to Incubus-Fungus Amongus. Funk rock to extreme.
2. Breaking Benjamin is shit, so no clue...Taproot maybe.
3. System of a Down sucks ass too, so...
4. Try Saosin. They're alright.
5. Led Zeppelin? Uhhh....Tool?
6. Deftones are the same genre as KoRn but oh, so much better.
7. Try Smashing Pumpkins because they sound the Foos. Actually listen all the way through a few albums not the singles.
8. Absolutely no clue because Green Day is so bad.
9. Stone Sour. Old lead singer to Slipknot in an alt-metal band equals all good music.
10. Finger Eleven...ugh.
Try Nine Inch Nails.
You'll like. |
AmericnZero02
07.13.07 | ^ I don't think the title of this list was "Comment On My Favorite Bands" |
CushMG15
07.13.07 | He gave a couple legit responses with his own two-cents on the bands. Truth be told, its more help than a lot of regulars would want to give.
If you like Greyest Skies of Blue by Finger 11, try out Clumsy by Our Lady Peace.
Slipknot - Give Mushroomhead a shot, and the obvious Mudvayne |
tribestros
07.13.07 | AmericnZero i was giving him valid responses to what he wanted... |

07.13.07 | it's cool guys...everyone gave me good stuff....except for that first guy lol |
MrKite
07.13.07 | I thought you sounded a bit like a dick in some points, to be honest. |

07.13.07 | Jawbreaker. You would definitely like them. Also try out Deftones, Rush, Protest The Hero, At The Drive-In, The Mars Volta, King Crimson, Smashing Pumkins, Dredg, Weezer, Pavement. |
Bfhurricane
07.13.07 | I have a strong feeling you'd like the classic rock band America.
try Nine Inch Nails as well. |
grief
07.13.07 | Yeah you should check out Mudvayne and if you so choose Hell Yeah (Mudvayne+Damage Plan+Pantera)
You should also check out Wolfmother and The Sword
AND i agree with MrKite about Incubus.
This site is great for this kind of stuff because if you go to the homepages of those artists, it will have similar artists on there too! |
astrel
07.13.07 | For 4 and 5 I recommend The Mars Volta and At the Drive-In. For 2, 6, 9, and 10 I recommend a better taste in music. (just kidding, but for reals) |
IvortheEngineDriver
07.13.07 | I agree with the people said check out Incubus...espeically Make Yourself/Morning View era...you wont be dissapointed. Check out some Porcupine Tree as well. Even some Nickelback...its all good man. I would check out the bands people recommend though before you buy anything. You want something that is in your taste. |
Cravinov13
07.13.07 | All of these are pretty lame/ overrated/ crappy bands so I don't recommend you anything similar to them. |
nickpcharrette
07.13.07 | i agree with the dude above me |

07.14.07 | IRON MAIDEN! |
IvortheEngineDriver
07.14.07 | Just remember: Everyone on these forums knows EVERYTHING about music. So, when they say your taste sucks, they are correct...because they know everything |
muchtallerthanu
07.14.07 | For 9, either Mudvayne or Stone Sour. For Mudvayne, get LD 50, for stone sour, get their self-titled album. |
PumaPride77
07.14.07 | While this may be a stretch, for Red Hot Chili Peppers I would recommend Sublime. Their style is pretty dissimilar but they both have a heavy bass vibe and everyone I know who likes one of the bands always likes the other.
And for Led Zeppelin I would recommend the White Stripes' new cd Icky Thump. Although many on these boards are sure to deny this, there are some definite similarities to the two, especially on Icky Thump. Blues based, eclectic rock. |
Phil
07.18.07 | This might be late but check out Janes Addiction and Gang of Four if you like RHCP. |
LifeInABox
08.07.07 | you might want to start liking better music. |
