11.02.11 | Juturna is incredibly different. It's more atmospheric, mellowed-out, considered "boring" by some in comparison to BSN.
I love the vibe it brings to the table.
For the life of me, I cannot edit the random "r" letters out of my description. |

11.02.11 | They had great sound but I love the smaller form factor of newer speakers these days. |

11.02.11 | Typically, you have to pay a lot more nowadays to get sound that matches the vintage classics. |

11.02.11 | Oh, I have no doubt but when you have a family and space is an issue tiny speakers that fit on your book shelf are a welcome change from 3' speakers on 3' stands that take up as much room as another TV would. ;^P |

11.02.11 | Yeah, I'm with you there. I don't have any kids, but the gal sure didn't look happy (rolled eyes) when I came walking through the door with these. |

11.02.11 | They were great in my twenties though. no matter how many times you move those suckers will work as well as the day you bought them. You'll have to cheat on the Missus and have her throw them out the third story window with the rest of your stuff before you'll ever need to replace them out of necessity. In other words you're more likely to replace them out of practicality than because they stopped working. |

11.02.11 | Plus the Dynacos have rubber butyl surrounds, so no need to worry about the foam rotting out from around the woofers. These A-25's are workhorses. And I sure love the looks of walnut cabinets with beige grillcloth. Those old Acoustic Research designs first got me giddy over these old speakers.
I have all on my list (except for The Mars Volta) in vinyl. I'm using an old Technics turntable and Technics receiver. I seem to be stuck in a vintage audio binge. |
