Mid 2000s: Best Years In Emo(tional) Music

Is it just me or is the quality of music declining (EXCLUSIVELY in terms of music based on this list). I just haven't heard an album in a while that really WOWed me like these. Recs?
1Thrice
The Artist In The Ambulance

July 22, 2003 - In my opinion the most solid Thrice album. Dustin's voice makes my ears bleed in the best way possible. Favorite tracks: Under A Killing Moon/ The Abolition Of Man/ Paper Tigers
2Death Cab For Cutie
Transatlanticism

October 7, 2003 - Favorite tracks: Lightness/ Title And Registration/ The New Year
3Acceptance
Phantoms

April 26, 2005 - A mature "emo" album. Band includes one of the talented vocalists and a Metallica-inspired guitarist (who later became the guitarist of Anberlin). Favorite tracks - So Contagious/ The Letter/ Glory/Us
4The Receiving End Of Sirens
Between The Heart And The Synapse

April 26, 2005 - Three vocalists (including The Casey Crescenzo who you've all come to know and love as the frontman of The Dear Hunter), three guitarists, and some of the best uses of synth/music software I've heard (not to mention Anthony Green was a guest vocalist). Dissect their lyrics, and you'll be overwhelmed by the amount of poetic devices and wordplay they use. Personally, I'm surprised (and somewhat insulted) this album didn't make it on the top 100 list. Favorite tracks - Dead Men Tell No Tales/ ...Then I Defy You, Stars/ This Armistice
5Circa Survive
Juturna

May 7, 2005 - If I had the intention of hoping the Sputnik staff would pick this as a feature list I'd ramble on about how listening to this album used to be like a religious experience, but my writing skills are adequate and my opinions are the same as everyone else's. But point being.. this is a GOOD album. Favorite tracks - In Fear And Faith/ Stop The Fucking Car/ Holding Someone's Hair Back
6Alexisonfire
Crisis

August 21, 2006 - Favorite tracks - This Could Be Anywhere In The World/ You Burn First/ Mailbox Arson
7mewithoutYou
Catch For Us The Foxes

September 26, 2006 - Unpopular opinion: Catch For Us The Foxes > [A--> B] Life > Brother, Sister. Favorite tracks - My Exit, Unfair/ The Soviet/ Disaster Tourism
8 Manchester Orchestra
I'm Like A Virgin Losing A Child

Oct 14, 2006 - Unpopular opinion: I'm Like A Virgin > Mean Everything To Nothing > Simple Math. Definitely not as loud as METN or Simple Math, but it's their most genuine. Favorite tracks - Colly Strings/ I Can Feel Your Pain/ Alice And Interiors
9Brand New
The Devil And God Are Raging Inside Me

Nov 26, 2006
10As Cities Burn
Come Now Sleep

August 14, 2007 - Favorite Tracks - Wrong Body/ The Hoard/ Our World Is Grey
