07.28.07 | I haven't heard any of them but I'm just going to go out on a limb and say Saimese Dream |
Electric City
07.28.07 | Don't listen to any of them. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness is the stronger, more accessible, and therefore better-as-a-first Pumpkins album. |
BallsToTheWall
07.28.07 | Siamese Dream then Mellon Collie |
astrel
07.28.07 | I prefer Mellon Collie more, but Siamese Dream is just as good. Your first album has to be one of those two though. |
MrKite
07.28.07 | I disagree EC, I myself found SD much easier to get into than MC. |

07.28.07 | 7 blows. Get Siamese Dream. |

07.28.07 | gish or siamese dream i think

07.28.07 | Siamese Dream first then Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness |
Electric City
07.28.07 | That's strange, Mrkite. Granted, not all of Mellon Collie is accessible, but the highlights and singles like Zero, Tonight Tonight, Galapagos, Muzzle, 1979, and Bullet With a Butterfly Wings got me into the Smashing Pumpkins more than any of Siamese Dream ever did. |

07.28.07 | While I enjoyed the songs you mentioned pretty much the moment I heard them (barring Zero which I still find one of the lesser tracks on MC) the album as a whole was a lot harder for me to get into than SD. Tracks like Today, Cherub Rock, Mayonaise, and Rocket were really what made me appreciate what the Pumpkins could do. |

07.28.07 | so im guessing i shouldn't get zeitgeist |
samthebassman
07.28.07 | Zeitgeist is a damn good album, but gish or siamese dream are the best starting points. Mellon Collie wouldn't be bad either.
You cant really go wrong where ever you start to be honest. |
