Great Album Openers

Self-explanatory. I'll probably make another for closers. Feel free to add some that you think I missed and I'll check them out.
1Arcade Fire
Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)

Sets the tone and mood of the album. Just a fantastic overture to a great
album.
2Battles
Race:In

Rhythmic and spacey. This track just seems to build and build.
3Bloc Party
Like Eating Glass

This band/album are massively over-rated, but this is one of the few songs
I absolutely love by them.
4The Blood Brothers
Guitarmy

The only 39-second-long track I know that feels like a kick in the face.
5Radiohead
Airbag

Still think this is one of Radiohead's best songs.
6Coheed and Cambria
Keeping the Blade

Strings and more strings. It has the famous Coheed melodies arranged in
a powerful way.
7The Strokes
Is This It

Maybe the album's overrated. Oh well, this song's still as groovy as it was
the first time I heard it.
8Death From Above 1979
Turn It Out

Every song this band writes is about sex. Another kick-in-the-face starter.

Play Your Part (Pt. 1)

I know mashup shit isn't for everyone, but I find this song hilarious and
enjoyable at the same time.

Genesis

And then God said: "Let there be a massive sophomore slump for this
group". And so it was called [I]Audio, Video, Disco.[/I]

Maybe I just have a thing for great vocalists, but Tom Chaplin steals the
show on this haunting opener.

Just got into this band, but the opener of [I]Hurry Up, We're Dreaming[/I] is
pretty phenomenal.

Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus

I'm getting sick of all the attention [I]Noctourniquet[/I] is getting, but I still
love this album. Does it count as an opener even though it's 13 minutes
long?

Take a Bow

A grand crescendo of a song. Muse certainly knows how to make songs build.
15Radiohead
Everything in its Right Place

Couldn't make this list without it.
